M1a2 is best tank of the world ?

I read a lot of posts, websites, military forums, despite the poor performance of M1 in the Middle East (Iraq, Yemen). It was destroyed by USSR and China's anti-tank old weapons, it is still the best tank in the world on western media rating, why?

I think the same as the submarines Seawolf and Patriot missile, along with the F-22 stealth aircraft, which is called the western media, called advertising marketing. Internet is a product of America, they have caught up to promote the product before other countries (in fact, Leopard 2, Challenger 2 and Leclerc are better NATO tanks than Abram). We did not know much about T-90, ZTZ-99 until the year 2005. While M1 has been advertised for a long time, it has a large number of fanboys. M1A2 in fact proved it was not as good as advertised. I have heard the legend of M1 Abram destroying 1000 T-72 during the Gulf War. And I can not find any real achievements was recorded by the USA. Or a successful product of US military advertising

Obviously all tanks without active defense are vulnerable to ATGM. T-14 which has revolutionary AESA and active defense combo can virtually eliminate ATGM threat. ATGM are slow.

You do know that Iraqi M1A2's are no way near the actual American M1 tanks being used by the frontline U.S units. Right?

Wrong. They are one and the same. There are certain features that differ on the Iraqi (and export models) but all of them have generally the exact same armour. If they didn't why would anyone buy it? So two possibilities exist; either A. US sells garbage for export and that means they are a shifty lot and no one should ever buy US weapons because they are all downgraded to a level that even "junk" outdated Chinese missiles can easily take them out (assumed if true from claims and videos etc) or B. The equipment is more or less identical and only differ in some communication, software, and expected areas but the main hardware components are identical and US tanks are nothing too impressive at all. A or B - Only generalised possibilities. Truth is these export customers are allowed to buy whatever (assuming little political favouring but of course in the case of Iraq there is substantial forcing to purchase US) and most export customers have tested the products and only bought them because they know it is similar to if not exactly the same to US counterparts. The claim that "ooohhh export US weapons underperformed because they are downgraded" is a garbage excuse. Sure some features are locked out but most are made to the same standard.

The only tanks the world equipped with active protection systems are Israeli Merkava and US Abrams (both with Trophy). T-14 is experimental and not clear if its APS even exists.

And why India does not buy M1A2 to deal with ZTZ-99? You don't know M1A2 SEP of Saudi ? All is just sophistry.... Monkey Model was only in Soviet times....Today, no-one is going to buy cut-down weapons, US military contractors will never want to lose their customers. Versions such as the F-16 Block 60 or F-15SA for the UAE, Saudi are even better than the F-16 version used by the USAF. Most attack weapons are outdated weapons, used to defeat the M60 MBT, M48 Tank in their era (RPG7, SPG9, AT5).
