Long march: Next stop Islamabad!

i have longing desire that CJ and his team dismiss PPP govt. on corruption cases but i have not seen anything in current scenario.
all non democratic acts and tools are using to kick the govt. please think neutrally.
Media campaign ,opposition campaign ,sms campaign etc . running in one direction .
i personally had never cast vote to PPP in my life but i feel that all things against PPP is not fair.

I repeat, PPP hai hi mulk dushman. If they weren't screwing up the issue of campaigning against them would not arise. What they are doing to Pakistan is beyond unfair, its criminal.

'Long march': DPC puts up impressive show

LAHORE: Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) long march began from Lahore to Islamabad on Sunday against the resumption of Nato supplies.

A meeting of DPC leaders was followed by a press conference by Council's chairman Maulana Samiul Haq.

Urging all sections of society to join them in their protest, the Maulana said that people living near Nato routes should also come out on to the roads to join the protest.

The protest march is joined by Sheikh Rasheed, Ijazul Haq, Syed Munawar Hassan and others.

Leaders of various religious groups said that the march would be peaceful and the government should assist them for the "sake of democracy".

Maulana Samiul Haq further said that the DPC had no political aims.

Criticising the government, a DPC leader urged the government to divert traffic from the GT Road to the Motorway.

Meanwhile, Jamatud Dawa leader Hafiz Saeed slammed government for allowing containers to carry supplies for Nato troops fighting in Afghanistan. He averred that this act would never be in the interests of the country and Islam.

Jamaat-e-Islami's Amir Syed Munawar Hassan criticised the government for its policies and said that the council would do everything in its power to strengthen the country.

Protesting columns of DPC would pass through Mauridke and Gujranwala on to Islamabad where they are expected to arrive on Monday.

From the beginning of the day, a large number of people in their own vehicles joined the protest march.

I repeat, PPP hai hi mulk dushman. If they weren't screwing up the issue of campaigning against them would not arise. What they are doing to Pakistan is beyond unfair, its criminal.
i think CJ would warmly welcome if you send evidence of these crimes.

Plz go & check the situation the time mussharaf took the charge of this country & before that, mulk bigaroo , karaz sanwaroo?
What was our economy thn ?
Better thn taliban economy in afghanistan? Just after the nucklear test, we were under. Sanctions?
NATO supplies came to us as blessing, because we were facing a enemy with 50 times higher in militry & economic battle fields?
He did used this nato suplies , as our advantage for us, because of that, we got that, flying economy at that time.
Check the facts & figures about the economy, & defence sectors at even the time , when musharaf left, & check it now you will find some horrible picture happening in reality.
All these jokers who, lived there lives on the financial support of army, they can't don anything for our economy & the betterment of the poors of pakistAn, who don't give a dam about nato supplies anyway , pakistan don't have much choice , to do much about, it becausE of our economic conditions, & we can't fight 2 wars at same time, on different boders with far more suppeior enemies, its reality , we should. Accept it & move forward.

Where are those scum bags suicide bombers, when you need one to take this mess out.
Riding a top a vehicle like some cup winners, what are these Beard Brigade out to prove other than disrupting traffic and getting stuffed with free food.
If they indeed are out on a moral mission, why not march up to the Afghan border and try and halt the supply.

At the same time.. none of that was Musharraf's doing..
He did the coup to save his and his cabals skins from being fired out of jobs(or rather their power) by another power hungry person in Nawaz Sharif... and till 2001..had really not accomplished anything as such other than token "corruption" cases and other knee jerk typical military mind anti-politico moves.
The economy, the defence sectors.. all fuelled by either foreign investment or consumerism.
Which would have come after sept-11 had any darn general or politico allied themselves with the US in this war on terror.
NO infrastructure development, NO dams, NO nothing.
Even that damn motorway in which he shameless engraved his name was initiated by Mian Bradraan.
His greatest accomplishment is and always will be giving freedom to the media..
that is what he deserves credit for..and nothing else.
All the economic bruhaha that many of his supporters cry for was the result of blatant consumerism fuelled by short term interest rate reduction thanks to technocrats like Shaukat Aziz...

What the hell???...i was expecting to read about a spaceport being built near islamabad from where the chinese long march rockets will be launched...stupid me

The game of chicken was getting out of hand. At the end of the day, the US is a superpower and the Pakistani government has to think rationally rather than emotionally. The US offered an olive branch with Hillary's apology and it was right for Pakistan to reciprocate and resume the relationship. The decision to drop the NATO fees was also smart; otherwise Pakistan would have been portrayed as a sellout.

This way Pakistan stood firm, got the apology and, like a gentleman keeping his word, kept its part of the bargain.

At the end of the day things will happen as it was designed to happen. Washington's foreign policy course is to actively promote the political fragmentation and balkanization of Pakistan as a nation.

A new political leadership had anticipated since they have realized that Musharraf regime can no longer sustain at that time but in all likelihood it was molded to take on a very different shape, in relation to previous US sponsored regimes. There is no surprise that Washington had push for a compliant political leadership, with no commitment to the national interest, a leadership which will serve US imperial interests, while concurrently contributing under the disguise of "decentralization", to the weakening of the central government and the fracture of Pakistan's fragile federal structure.

The political impasse is deliberate. It is part of an evolving US foreign policy agenda, which favors disruption and disarray in the structures of the Pakistani State. Indirect rule by the Pakistani military and intelligence apparatus is to be replaced by more direct forms of US interference, including an expanded US military presence inside Pakistan. This expanded military presence is also dictated by the Middle East-Central Asia geopolitical situation and Washington's ongoing plans to extend the Middle East war to a much broader area.

The official justification and pretext for an increased military presence (one prominent example is drones strikes) in Pakistan is to extend the "war on terrorism". Concurrently, to justify its counterrorism program, Washington had already beefed up its covert support to the "terrorists" in Balochistan for which there are numerous ferrari camps running inside Afghanistan. It is also worth noting that secessionist tendencies are not limited to Balochistan. There are also separatist groups in Sindh province, which are largely based on opposition to the Punjabi-dominated military regime.

In short Pakistan in no way stand firm for it's national interest instead it stand firm for the national interest of USA at the expense of Pakistani lives.

if they wanna do long march and attract the common people then do it without political aimbitions, no party flags

and long march should not be themed on nato supply but all the combined problems pakistan is facing
