Agreed, China is hardly an homogeneous nation, it has zillions of internal problems including the East Turkistan issue which is also a setback in Sino-Turkish relations.

Great majority of Turks including me, admire Japan as an advanced hardworking nation that still has some old values of honor. Although there's a certain respect in between, our relationships aren't where they should be. Republics of Turkey and Korea has much stronger military ties. We would love to have the same links with Japan.

China was surrounded by dozens of regional powers, we built the Great Wall to defend us. Whenever we were in trouble, they invaded us - loot, kill, rape, even eat us. But they all vanished, we are still here.

If they did not invade us in the first place, they may still exist today. Tibet and Korea are two examples.

Article 9 of the Deit's constitution prevents military interaction other than the USAF. So it's rather an constitutional problem rather than political.
