Which part of my post are you referring to? 31% people of India voted for BJP in last election and as per this thread they are all anti Hindu, I don't see any confusion in it.
No that's fine, but if that is your primary agenda and development and good governance take the backseat then the floating voters would choose the other option.
The reason behind this is safeguarding/defending Hinduism is relative to person we are talking to, so what may seem defending Hinduism to a VHP supporter, may seem rabble rousing to a more relaxed person.
I choose to ignore it because I thought it was grossly exaggerated, so I took the most reasonable bit of his post and wanted to discuss about it. You are not Dray, let him reply.
There is a truth in you argument that parties in past did pander to minorities, however when you say "Anything related to Hinduism in this country is insulted, humiliated tried to put down by seculars", you are again charting in the fear mongering zone.
Hinduism is not dogmatic, so your Hinduism might not be my Hinduism and we can still live with it and call each other Hindu. There is a growing tendency of molding Hinduism to an Abrahamic cast which goes against very idea of Hinduism.
