LOL BJP losing delhi

AAP hiding its dirty laundry?

The Aam Aadmi Party walked into a fresh donation row two days before Delhi goes to the polls. The party’s website Thursday showed that a string of donations were made to the two-year-old outfit in the year 1900. :partay: This could be a technical glitch but all these contributions were earlier shown to have been made in December 2014.

HT has screenshots to show that the donation dates of at least 10 entries have been altered from December 24, 2014 to January 1, 1900. The receipt numbers and donors’ names remain unchanged.

For example, one Vishal Marwah of Delhi (Receipt MO1214397646) donated Rs. 19,900 on December 24, 2014. The website Thursday showed the donation date as January 1, 1900.:haha:

HT found that these entries — all of which are for Rs. 19,900 — seem to have been pushed back on the website and it takes some browsing before these show up. Section 29C of the Representation of the People Act, the law that governs the election process, requires all political parties to disclose donations in excess of Rs. 20,000 to the Election Commission, with names and addresses of the donors.

The fact that political parties do not need to share the source or the donors’ details of contributions of less than Rs. 20,000 with the poll panel is a loophole being exploited to route black money, an internal finance ministry report suggests.

The Rs. 19,900 donations were picked and questioned by people on the social media and it was after that the AAP website started showing the year 1900.

AAP’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta, however, strongly denied any attempt at altering dates or hiding black money. “There might be some software issues. We will look into it. Why would we move entries to the year 1900? They could be removed altogether.”

Gupta, who also oversees AAP’s fund-raising, said the Rs. 19,900 donations might have come after the party hosted tea, lunch and dinner and sold coupons to raise money. “Every penny received by AAP is clean, and we strive to maintain absolute transparency,” he said.

The AAP has held dinners and high teas to raise funds to foot its bill for the Delhi as well as Lok Sabha elections.

The party, which says its funding is transparent and details of all donations available on its website, is battling accusations of money laundering and accepting funds from alleged shell companies.

A breakaway faction had Monday accused the party of receiving donations of Rs. 50 lakh each from four shell companies in 2014. The company addresses were found to be fake and they shared the same set of directors.

The AAP has shrugged off the charges, saying it received the donation through cheques.

The fact that the donations were made by cheque did not purify the transaction, finance minister and senior BJP leder Arun Jaitley said in his blog.

Addressing a poll rally Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Kejriwal stood exposed and so did his claims of being “Mr Clean”.

Last checked, the website still showed several entries against January 1, 1900.

If I am forced (I mean really forced) to elect between Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal & Co., I will choose Rahul Gandhi. :D

There will be a day when you will have to choose man. That's ultimately how democracy works- there will always be a centre of right and a centre of left and you will choose between one of them. Right now there is a right of right party in power which will pay the price of not moving to the centre. To punish them you will choose a centre of left. In reality what is happening in this country is exactly equal to what happened to the UK in the 1990s. Modi is like Thatcher (more right than her). Labor (Congress/AK) is in the wilderness and needs to reinvent itself. It will spend 15 years painfully convulsing until a 'New Labor' under a leader like Blair emerges. Either AK will subdue his Dharna politics and take that role (which seems to be happening) or some other person will emerge. In the end you will have to make a centre of left choice some time, then these two will be the choices.

Clutching at straws. Lame.

We are ridiculing only deluded modi bhakts
I am far for being a Modi bhakt. I am NOT a fan of his present merciful attitude. :disagree:
The economy is doing good and so is defence. But there has been no clampdown on anti National activities and the Bangladeshis have also not been evicted. So far from a bhakt, I am. :D

That said, I do intend to get into mainstream politics. Modi is basically a harmless dove compared to me. I can assure you about that. :)

I have even more options, I am open to anybody who can deliver good governance and development, so I am open to any party who can offer a credible leadership, I decide my preference from election to election, AAP has little chance to get into that list though...ever. :)
Ouch! :D

I think there is more than meets the eye. The Indianization program is silently progressing. Maybe he is taking a slow route. Media should be silenced first though. Modi is not the kind of person who lets people off easily. He is pretty cold. Let's see.

I will vote for Priyanka.
In the Nehru family(yes that's right) the ladies are ALWAYS dangerous. The guys are open, corruptible and easy to manipulate. :D

Its the good cop bad cop routine.

I do feel he needs to make a public comment about Obama's brainfart though. Kallu should not start spreading his wings .....

I am ok with dangerous as long as the pant suits stay tight, and the backside gets some added pre-poll funding.

Strangely I do not criticize him for not having evicted Bangladeshis, it relly is a more complex a problem than people imagine- I'm ready to give him 10 years to do that. But I do have a problem with him saying he will bring back Black Money in 100 days with absolutely no f**ing intention to do that.

Surely there will be a day when I will choose differently, BJP cannot rule for all the years I am supposed to live, but Congress needs to find better leaders and end its dependence on one family, which is forcing the party to submit to the lordship of whatever crap that family is producing. Congress must understand that India needs credible options, not monarchy.

And it's not only about how terrible Rahul Gandhi would be as the leader of the country, I wonder how bad Modi and his team consisting of people like Arun Jaitley and Manohar Parikkar have to perform to make me choose someone like Rahul Gandhi. Only possibility I see is a social breakdown due to rabid religious intollerance under Modi rule that may lead to such a situation, but even that possibility is low considering his tenure in Gujrat.

Easy for people to say that Congress must 'let go of' Gandhis. It can't- it is equal to commiting suicide. The position enjoyed by them is not only some vague sycophancy, it is a deliberate attempt to maintain party unity. There are no leadership struggles or splits if these are the leaders. Remove them and the party will fall apart quickly. Therefore the centre of left option has to be a new party. That's the historic significance of AAP.

Btw, Kejriwal is a busket case. I am telling you he is no honest messiah that he is projecting to be, he is an opportunist with huge political ambitions who can go to any length to grab power, he is an imposter who is fooling people. Such people are far more dangerous than known culprits.

@Guynextdoor2

he was in this for decades before he joined politics. If a man had such political ambitions, that's just fine.

Congress is an old party, it must find a way to become independent of the family, historically it was not a family owned party, it became one later. Congress is going down united under Rahul.
