(Live) Chandrayaan-2: India's historic moon mission lost its communication-Mission Failed

There is nothing to be embarrassed in this failure

Embarrassment is when you Indians elect people in parliament because of their "performance" in communal riots

It was his performance of his 3 terms as an actual administrator in Gujarat for 3 terms is what made him win. And India moving away from caste politics, name politics(Gandhis), etc.

Are you sure?

Because his own voters love him for Gujarat 2002

But then you have voted Pragya Thakur too. A terrorist. So modi is still better

Budget is less than hollywood space fiction movies ..Lesson learnt is well worth ..

Vast majority of the mission is with the orbiter. The lander + rover was always going to be cherry on top, would have been great if it also succeeded, but if it fails (like it very likely has now), its not like the mission is gone. Most of the mission still working and will give useful science.

ISRO will learn from this and do better next time. Soft landing is always a bit of coin flip the first time you do it, esp when you are aiming for the south pole area of moon which has lot more dangerous craters and crevasses.

Not a big deal.
ISRO will send another moon landing mission in 9-12 months if communications with this one not recovered..
making of another new lander and orbiter will takes years of development and research and you will spend millions of dollar to develop and reduce a risk from this experience/failed attempt, launching another orbiter/lander space probe isn't easy as you think @Tejas Spokesman

You gotta love these guys at ISRO, they have a true passion for what they do. Probably not easy for him at the moment, but there is nothing to be ashamed of. Modi, as a leader should reiterate the same. ISRO have always come back stronger, there is no less sense of respect from a failure.

The fact he is showing this much grief I gained a lot of respect for him. Not many leaders in India would care. He had a weight of a billion on him.

Lol, one reporter just shouted at the isro guy making announcement saying "why is the isro chairman not out here to face the press" and the isro dude was speechless

Issue is not with failure. Every nation somehow failed hy one way or another but keep trying and faces the reality. In Indian case, especially Modi, this is the matter of ego, chest thumping and tall claims for years and even use it some kind of victory over Pakistan and that's where it hurts most of all. However, ISI wasn't involved yet.
