LCA will not be able to penetrate enemy lines

@Windjammer

You picked this from our CAG report. My question is does Pakistan has something like CAG which does your country's audit...I mean overlook where the money is coming from and where it it is going...not only in defence but all the country's income and expenses??

LCA is for POINT DEFNCE/GOAL KEEPER

ASHQ requirements have been changed for LCA three times since the prortype started flying with the most recent being the thrust requirements.

The report is not based on the current IOC cleared aircraft handed over to IAF,

which had the a comprhensive RWR and MAWS installed, PV's did not have a room for chaff dispenser becuase it was housing 3, 24 volt power supplies and 6 of 4-20Ma differential pressure transducers for measuring the static pressure drop in the intake sections. Telemetry removed LCA will have enough space to house a comprehensive SPS.

This finding's are based on status report of the Project management team in one of it's gate reviews in 2013.

findings are as latest as 'February 2015' ....

As has already been pointed out in the other thread the majority of the CAG's criticisms of the LCA are based on 1-2 year old information and have largely been addressed to date and have to be just to meet the FOC standard that the LCA will be awarded by the end of this year.

The MK.2 with increased internal fuel capacity and an IFR probe (that the MK.1 will have also) will be able to address any such range issue even though long range strike missions are not what the LCA is intended to do. For that the IAF is getting the best of the best strike fighters- the Rafale ;)

@waz sir please merge all CAG/LCA threads running right now.

Indian poster keep on defensing their Tejas 35 percent indigenous aircraft with most component import from other nations, the pride and joy of Indian Tejas turn out 15 yrs too late to be the frontline fighter jet for IAF which Tejas created a nightmare scenarios for IAF to replace the aging flighting fleet of Mig21 and Mig27 with the Tejas fail project.

Wtf can this piece of shit actually do besides flying?
Fire most lethal wvr R-73E with HMDS has more TWR and less RCS and delta wing edge and use of more composite materials.

Tejas can not even replace the aging fleet, can you say Tejas is a useless piece of junk?

Based on december 13 IOC in which aircrafts used were LSP3, LSP5 and LSP 7.
Not the LSP 8 which is the production variant with reshaped APU and telemetry and dead weights removed.

Yes, cmds is not going to work effectively if the field bus is not connected to provide a warning tone.

findings are as latest as 'February 2015' ....
No they are not they are based on the gate review for the LSP3,5,and 7 not the SP1 or LSP 8. the 2014 Dec date review stands because the SPJ was not tested on the SP8, because test platform for the SPJ was deemed to be the two seat variant.
