As far my understanding is of the conflict ,the Sinhalese-Buddhist people want the majority rule system just like india.
If i recall Jinnah wanted the indian govt to be split 50-50 between the hindus and muslims-sikhs ect just like the tamils wanted after the british left sri lanka but the Sinhalese-Buddhist refused, just like gandhi.




Like i said...the sri lankans need to be smarter or they will end up with the same problem again in few decades.
