Lahore 'attackers identified'

I am afraid govt might seal Punjab university hostels plus ban on jamiat too,cuz all roads of investigation passing through PU hostels in Lahore...Its high time and JI is against Zaradari, hope this power tug of war won't ahead in wrong direction...

It looks like many have decided the culprit before giving it a second look. And now, they are striving hard to anyhow turn each finger being raised in the direction they want.

i think this is the time of india to be treated of its on medicine blaming others

Asim and I just posted an article in DAWN which stated evidence pointed towards LeT and ruled out Indian and RAW link. And now this contradictary news by the same newspaper.
What has Pakistan come to.

Nobody trusts each other.

Govt suspects Army.
People suspect Govt.
When did Government said Army was involved in this incident?

I agree that there are people in India like Modi who blame Pakistani and jihadi elements for whatever happens in India. But that does not misguide educated and sensible Indians like the ones on this forum. I hope the Pakistanis on this forum atleast, see the same sense in making out when India may be involved in an incident like this attack and when it may not be involved. Thats it.
Its not even more about India here. Its about reason. Mumbai is a different case entirely. Because from the first hours and day of attack, there was evidence like the phone calls and Kasab which confirmed some Pakistanis' involvement.
Do you really think India is behind Jaish e muhhammad ? Because the last time I saw India was crying foul when Musharraf allowed its head to live in Pakistan(though it was denied officially). What can possibly get those jihadi groups into Indian camp? Not ideology. Is it money? Come on, they are by definition jihadis, determined to lay their lives for their ideology. How will they leave it for India or some money?

A short while ago, these people were looking at India as a problem. Now they see India in all their problems. God help them.

Indian members: Its no use. You cant argue with someone who has made up his mind. Self introspection is a unknown word for some. Leave it at that.

Stumper don't be pessimistic ,, don't burn the bridge of communication. Keep on arguing, enlighten the thoughts. Blame game never ends, but every day and every minute we learnt more to live in peace...

I agree. Somehow nationalistic sentiments rule over head here. But ur correct, lets not burn the bridges.

Yup just my policy.
Never give up
In the end sanity will prevail

suspicion is acceptible, but blame without proof is not.
lets all think positive and hope we can change the future

Ponder over

Statments from two persons.

1.Salman Taseer
2. Rehman Malik

Now try to analyse who among them is responsible for probe and who is the concerned person ?
Salman or Rehman Malik?

Indeed Rehman Malik who is chief of FIA that is probing the attacks.

Salman Taseer is owner of Daily Times the mouthpiece of Indian propaganda against Pakistan.

Salman Taseer has a Sikh Indian wife and Sikh son from her.

Salman Taseer within first few minutes of the attacks issued statment blaming some groups and a big new term he invented saying "Alhamdollilah attackers ka pas rocket launchers bhee thay " :tsk:
The idiot does not know where to Alhamdollillah.

Statements from Salman Taseer and Rehman Malik

Salman Taseer: "Jaish is involved"

Rehman Malik:

No Lashkar, Lakhvi link found in Lahore attack: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's Adviser on Interior Rehman Malik on Thursday said that leads suggested that the banned outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Lakhvi had no links with the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

'However, the involvement of foreign hands in the incident cannot be ruled out,' he told APP while talking to journalists at Parliament House.

Malik reiterated that the perpetrators of the incident would soon be brought to justice. He said the investigation report would be completed within 24 hours and added that the probe was heading in the right direction.

Referring to the Mumbai terror attack, the adviser said Pakistan had conveyed 30 questions to the Indian authorities but they were yet to respond.

He urged India to share answers of the questions at the earliest so that the perpetrators could be given exemplary punishment.

NOW decide whome a sane person going to believe among the above two persons for the above statments?

An irrelevent unconcerned Salman Taseer or Rehman Malik who's FIA Is carrying out the probe.

From the respected DAWN news. What do you say about this?

Investigators see LeT footprints in Lahore attack

ISLAMABAD: Investigators are zeroing in on the footprints of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), according to preliminary investigations by the Joint Investigation Team probing Tuesday’s attack on Sri Lankan cricketers at Lahore’s Liberty Chowk.

Sketchy details of the initial probe suggest that a group of headstrong Lashkar activists, who went underground and remained in hiding in Rawalpindi after the crackdown on Lashkar and Jamaatud Dawa in December, had acted on their own and carried out the attack.

Although officials would not confirm the involvement of Lashkar, they categorically ruled out the possibility of involvement of the Indian spy agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) or the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as no evidence has been found so far pointing in their direction.

At least eight people, six policemen among them, were killed after 12 gunmen attacked the bus carrying Sri Lankan cricketers to Qadhafi Stadium.

The attack has killed hopes of any international sports events in Pakistan for months, if not years, and seriously damaged Pakistan’s reputation to host any international sporting event, including the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

The prime minister’s adviser on interior, Rehman Malik, refused to comment on the investigations when asked.

‘At this moment I can only say that investigations into the Lahore attack are going in the right direction. We have also involved the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) to determine the identity of the attackers,’ he told Dawn.

Interestingly, officials working at Nadra told Dawn that they had no facility to match the sketches with the database. ‘It is a very expensive technology and we do not have it here. So Nadra cannot do anything in this regard,’ a top official of Nadra said.

But asked specifically about the involvement of Lashkar in the Lahore attack, Mr Malik said he could not reveal anything at the moment. ‘The preliminary report will be finalised by Friday. At this moment I can only say that reports regarding the involvement of LeT are speculation,’ he added.

Later he told reporters in Parliament that al Qaeda could be involved in the attack. He also said so far investigations had not yet found any Indian connection.

He told journalists that the involvement of India’s Raw had not been proved so far. But, he added, the final answer could only be given once the investigations were completed.

Mr Malik claimed that investigators had not found any link between the attackers and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, a key Pakistani suspect in the Mumbai attacks and the alleged trainer/handler of the suicide squad that wreaked havoc in India’s commercial hub in November last year.

But he refused to share details with media of the arrests made by the law enforcement agencies so far.

The investigators involved in the probe believe that the attackers got their commando training in the camp of Lashkar’s operational commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi as their modus operandi had similarities with the Mumbai attackers.

Lakhvi was detained by authorities on suspicion of involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks. He was picked up from his camp in Muzaffarabad on Dec 10 last year.

Investigators believed that one of the attackers had assured the chief suspect in Mumbai terror attacks that his followers would take revenge against Pakistani authorities for his arrest and subsequent trial.

The authorities have also approached Jamaatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed, who is currently under detention at his Johar Town residence in Lahore, to help authorities in tracking down the attackers.

^^Let's not point fingers eagerly based on convictions and conjectures when the investigation is still going on. Wait for some time.

The investigation is botched up. That can be confirmed based on the many conflicting reports that came out. AQ, LeT, JeM, Lakhvi's men, Splinter organisation, RAW. Fingers have been pointed in all directions.

This case wont be solved as many other cases, mainly because this was a staged one. You cannot expect the punjab police to arrest the ISI operatives.

and also india is sending their army officials and commandos to help the insurgents in pakistan in 2003 an indian colonal was arrested from the hilly area of shawal North Waziristan and many other off the recod are arrested. even sikh soldiers removing their turban looks like new design taliban; one with very long hair. they also use the criminals ; as in ajmal kasab case he is a history sheater. having record of criminal activities. we the common ppl of pakistan want peace and i hope indian publicx also want so
