The communes control the local economy, determine what should be the health policy, education and transport in the region.. and also the tax rate is also determined by the commune, the richer the commune, the lower the tax rate..
The elections are held for selecting the local government. There is a small parliament...
Every city has it own TV and radio that gives local news... every government has IT services and websites for info...

Well, still you prefer to stay in Denmark right? the reason is that the facilities you get are great as a result of this taxation. If people of Pakistan also get the same system, they will happily pay the taxes.
