Yes.. Democracy does not equal to allowing citizens to support enemy nations.. But maybe expecting someone from Pakistan understand the meaning of democracy is a tough ask..

Democracy has nothing to do with taking one's country's side in whatever international dispite, especially when it comes to something of so little consequence as a sports match. The word you may be looking for is not democracy - it's fascism. And that's what the charges reflect: an oversensitive fascist mindset. As usual some of the Indian posters fail to understand the principles of the form of government they don't cease bragging about. In mouths of the likes of you democracy is nothing but a cover for the most ridiculous and cruel expressions of nationalistic and religious chauvinism.

Now you are just sounding naive.. Democracy is a form of govt and freedom of speech is a right given to the citizens, and the extent of that right is different in different countries. There is no direct connection between the 2. Pakistani members, a lot of time due to ignorance go on a jumping spree every time a Kashmir mischief is supressed ridiculing the concept of democracy in India (like you just did), not realizing that the one has nothing to do with the other. IN short, the 1st is a mechanism of selecting a govt and second is the extent that a govt (selected by any means, starting from democracy to a dictatorship) allows its citizens to express a dissenting view. Come back after these concepts are clear to you and then we will talk about why the thrashing these 60 odd kids got at the hands of their classmates was more than justified..
