Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday announced that Sikh pilgrims who arrive from India to visit Kartarpur will no longer need a passport to cross over into Pakistan as long as they have a valid identity.

In a tweet on Friday morning, the premier also announced that he had directed that the condition for pilgrims to register 10 days before their arrival to the Kartarpur shrine also be waived.

The prime minister further announced that the pilgrims who arrive on the day of the Kartarpur corridor's opening and on Baba Guru Nanak's 550th birth anniversary will not be charged any fee to visit.

For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off 2 requirements: i) they wont need a passport - just a valid ID; ii) they no longer have to register 10 days in advance. Also, no fee will be charged on day of inauguration & on Guruji's 550th birthday

After tough negotiations between Islamabad and New Delhi, Pakistan and India had finally signed an agreement last month paving the way for the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor this month ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev.

The four-kilometre-long corridor, which will be inaugurated on November 9, will provide pilgrims a visa-free link between Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur and the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Indian Punjab. Up to 5,000 Indian Sikhs have been allowed access daily, with plans to eventually double the capacity.

Promoting shirk on our land, this government is so proud of facilitating musharakeen (almost all foreign origin) to do their shirk in Pakistan on permanent basis, but we are told since our childhood through our text books that we are "Islamic republic of Pakistan".

May i know if the jews stayed in Masjid e Nabvi during the era of Hazrat Muhammad SAW in the Islamic State of Medina?

So Indians do not need a passport or visa even ?Strange decision. Is there a reciprocal waiver for Pakistanis visiting India for shrines or anything like that ?

But Hazrat Muhammad SAW was not building "synagogues" for the jews of Madina and the rest of the world for religious tourism, he was just showing tolerance towards them and their religion.

then why this one sided favor to Indians ? normal its a two way process...

I think there is of strategic important to open this corridor to have more sympathy of sikhs around the world and especially in india and use it to provide support for the movement of Khalistan.

Jews were considered equal citizens in the law, so as equal citizens they did get protection for their religious sites, and logically for upkeep more would have been needed to be built with time. Hasn't Hazrat Umar said that he was responsible even for a Dog's death as well; these are human beings we are talking about.
Showing tolerance is not an optional gesture, it is a requirement in Islam. But you on the other hand are just a hypocrite who ran to a non-Islamic country, full of shirk, but are then preaching hate about some construction work for sikh religious sites.
