Karachi Shipyards to spend $30 million on a Syncrolift System

.
WHAT ABOUT SHIPS WEIGHT MORE THAN 9K TONS WE DO HAVE SOME BATTLE SHIPS WHICH ARE HEAVIER THAN 9K TONS ITS NOT ENOUGH WE NEED SOME MORE HEAVY LIFTER
Those heavy weight will be retired soon, this 9KT capacity is enough to produce some monsters for next 10-15 years. We must produce such systems locally for Gawader or Ormara.

Indeed. That said, if it apparently costs $30 m to set this up in KSEW, I wonder if they'll raise similar infrastructure at Gwadar or Ormara ...?? It would be a good idea to ultimately defer defence production to Ormara or Gwadar, and leave Karachi to focus on civil and commercial vessels.

KSEW has a rich history and a lot of capability. Just transferring the human skills to some other place would be time consuming. Possibly, the low price of $30m is because of existing capability. So it will probably take some time and investment for Gwadar/Ormara to mature. We do need to avoid single point of failure. It would make sense to start small with something similar to Azmat class FAC outside Karachi and build up from there. But I don't want to move all the capability of military boats out of Karachi either. It would be heartbreaking to see the proud shipyard reduced to merely civilian vessels.

Nice try, but submarines are always produced under covered spaces.

Yes, just like any submarine launched missile must emerge vertically from the water. Only in India...
