@Windjammer Those hercules may on one trips - shame to see them leave the region permanently and not help out elsewhere. Pakistan could offer to maintain and keep them safe for the new Afghanistan.
Yes, we have seen some helicopters flying in areas under Taliban rule and they have allowed commercial flights to operate and technically these could be confiscated by the Talibans.... the operators could have easily flown them across the border instead of taking risks.....we know what will happen to those scan Eagle drones that were left behind.

Query-
Quite confused, the entire forum seems is cheerleading for Taliban, @Irfan Baloch seems to suggest this as a negative development. The other senior Mods celebrating, Are Pakistanis in support of the Taliban , is the view divided, or are Pakistanis in general anti-taliban?

LOL Stop acting like a fool. How can any Pakistani be unhappy when India got evicted from Afghanistan? It is funny you are so active on PDF. Today is an official mourning day for Hindustan.

It’s a mix of education and class divide - I am on the same page as @Irfan Baloch in fears that the same extremists which were quelled after much difficulty since the 2014 massacre of children will rise again and spread like wildfire in Pakistan. However, this is seen as general victory against India more so than America. Keep in mind, America isn’t the actual angst here for most Pakistanis as they will continue to line up and turn bottoms out for green cards even as the post away on “victory” in Afghanistan. 5 years of coddling at local levels, F-16Vs, Cobra’s and MRAPs will change those attitudes - but any hopes for peace and reconciliation between India and Pakistan are over. That hatred and anger is reflected by pretty much the same social/religious/educated class shades on both sides.

Previous US imposed governments were non-representative puppets and in bed with smelly indians in carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan. With them gone, Americans and Indians running like rats jumping a sinking ship that threat is no more, that is what matters for Pakistan.

Who form the government in Afghanistan is a matter for Afghans to decide, we have no favorites in Afghanistan.

There were no hostilities for Pakistan on afghan flank 94-2001. right? TTp started after US intervention iirc.

It's back to '90s for India. Unfortunately, this time around there is no Gen Massoud, no Gen Fahim, no Panjshir resistance. Given history is repeating itself, wonder if an incident like IC814 does too...won't be surprised.

Not back to the 90s for India my boy. Get ready for a whole new world with the QUAD.. India's *** is going to be filled with the Chinese very soon while the Americans, Japanese, and the very loyal Australians watch and cheer on the largest democrazy in the world. Hopefully, BJP stays in power to see this Indian dream come to full fruition.
