He organized a gathering which cheered and hailed a hanged terrorist who waged war against the Nation.

[1] :
Contrary to the lies that have been put about by some senior journalists who would have known better, Afzal Guru was not one of “the terrorists who stormed Parliament House on December 13th 2001” nor was he among those who “opened fire on security personnel, apparently killing three of the six who died.” (That was the BJP Rajya Sabha MP, Chandan Mitra, in The Pioneer, October 7th 2006). Even the police charge sheet does not accuse him of that. The Supreme Court judgment says the evidence is circumstantial: “As is the case with most conspiracies, there is and could be no direct evidence amounting to criminal conspiracy.” But then it goes on to say: “The incident, which resulted in heavy casualties had shaken the entire nation, and the collective conscience of society will only be satisfied if capital punishment is awarded to the offender.”
Who crafted our collective conscience on the Parliament Attack case? Could it have been the facts we gleaned from the papers? The films we saw on TV?

[2] :
Many eminent lawyers, scholars and journalists have written extensively, pointing out gaping holes in the entire trial and appeal process as well as the rejection of petitions to the president of India on Afzal Guru’s behalf. They include senior lawyers Nandita Haksar and Indira Jaisingh, writers Arundhati Roy, Praful Bidwai and Nirmalangshu Mukherji and the late K.G. Kannabiran, a former president of the People’s Union for Civil Liberties.
yet the supreme court worryingly worded the sentence quite ruthlessly
[3] :
“The incident, which resulted in heavy casualties, had shaken the entire nation and the collective conscience of the society will only be satisfied if the capital punishment is awarded to the offender. The challenge to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India by these acts of terrorists and conspirators, can only be compensated by giving the maximum punishment to the person who is proved to be the conspirator in this treacherous act. The appellant, who is a surrendered militant and who was bent upon repeating the acts of treason against the nation, is a menace to the society and his life should become extinct. Accordingly, we uphold the death sentence.”

[2] :
The Supreme Court said: “The collective conscience of the society will be satisfied only if the death penalty is awarded to Afzal Guru.” It was, to say the least, unfortunate that a court of law decided to pander to its assumed notion of “collective conscience” rather than abide by points of law.
A respected reporter in Mangalore, Naveen Soorinje, who exposed a Hindutva attack on young people enjoying a birthday party last year, continues to be in prison even after the state cabinet withdrew the charges framed against him. There again, there are persisting allegations of police collusion with Hindutva elements.
Moreover if they think hanging Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru is easy, they need to figure out how to respond to those who ask why not Balwant Singh Rajoana (for the 1995 assassination of Punjab chief minister Beant Singh) and Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan (for the 1991 assassination of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi). The Akali Dal, an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has appealed against any move to hang Rajoana.
so please don't use careless all-encompassing nationalist terminologies like "waged war against the nation"... i care about the indian oppressed people and innocents and not about the indian state... there's a great difference between people and the state.
and this
[4] is the actual truth about umar's father :
Mr Khalid's father said that he quit SIMI or the Students Islamic Movement of India before it was banned as a terror group.
the same article shows how "gentle and intellectual" nationalist indians are :
"I was told 'we will come to your house and kill you, rape you in the name of Bharat Mata,'" said Mr Khalid's sister to NDTV, her face covered to protect her identity.
I am a terrorist if i cheer for Osama in States or even in India.Capishe !
it seems your heart beats more for the usa government than for the oppressed in india... you never replied with empathy to my long listing
on the first page of the suffering masses within india.
why should you care if the usa government is overthrown or all nato militaries are destroyed?? in fact you should be happy with the removal of those genociders, war criminals, war-mongers, capitalists and terrorists.
when many progressive american citizens organized themselves in 2011 into the 'occupy protest' wanting a radical change in usa, wanting a socialistic welfare state, and this protest becoming the 'occupy movement' that got replicated in the rest of the anglo countries ( britian, australia, canada, new zealand ), why are you supporting the capitalist-imperialist usa government that wages war on countries where free housing is a basic human right while usa government doesn't provide homes to its own homeless citizens??
and within india you are a terrorist if you cheer for rss which is india's number one terrorist group

KOLKATA: Claiming that the activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been indicted in at least 13 terror cases across India, former Maharashtra inspector general of police S M Mushrif on Thursday described the BJP's ideological mentor as India's number one terrorist organisation.
"RSS activists have been chargesheeted in at least 13 cases of terror acts in which RDX has been used. If organisations like Bajrang Dal are taken into the account, then the number of such cases goes up to 17," Mushrif said at an event in Kolkata.
"The RSS is India's number one terrorist organisation, there is no doubt on this," said Mushrif, referring to the 2007 Mecca Masjid bombing in Hyderabad, the 2006 and 2008 Malegaon blasts in Maharashtra and the 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings among others.
