JH7A assembly line, produce fighter as fast as we can

Characteristics are similar to Tornado IDS, but Tornado has variable sweep wing, what gives Tornado an advantage.

True, that will give the IDS an advantage in speed and turn radius, but the handling advantage goes to the JH7 for its digital quadruplex fly-by-wire system , and it will have greater acceleration thanks to its more powerful engines.

The main advantage of sweep wing is that it can fly faster at low altitudes (Tornado can do 1,482 km/h at sea level) and are more stable. That is important for bombers.

Thats what i asked, if the both jets have a similar role. It looks like a bigger better brother of the good old A-5 Fantan.
Yes its have similar role I hope our economy improves because China has lot of options for us which we can choose specially to support our navy and counter Indian Navy

The stress on aerodynamic stability is alleviated using the digital fly by wire system.

U r right, but the structure of sweep wing is complex and maintenance high cost, one reason U.S Navy abandoned F-14 'Tomcat' just keep F/A-18.

1970s China ever got one Mig-23 from Egypt Airforce, SAC researched the sweep wing and want to use it on new Q-6 attack project. But they found the complex structure and that time components by China can't meet strength requirement, at last Q-6 project cancelled.

Why do you guys want EVERYTHING that China produces - from airplanes to missiles to ships to subs to tanks to guns. Any new weapon system you guys see produced by China and the first thing we hear you say is: When are we getting it? Or, why can't we have it? Or, we must get it! :P

why you guys want everything which russia produce ? planes , ships , subs , missiles ? ??

SU-34 is mainly a bomber plane with few Air To Air role and missiles but Su-30 is mainly Fighter Jet

Have you started production of J-16 as fighter jets or you are just testing them right now
Will PAF show some interests on J16?

I think Indian navy will really scared if PAF induct squadron of J16.

Unfortunately, the variable sweep wing also increases weight, complexity and limits the amount of hard points that can be placed under the wing. While it might provide better performance in flight, it has drawbacks in payload and maintenance compared to a fixed wing.

Pakistan Air Force is always looking for Cost effective ways to enhance and strengthen its Land, Air and Naval power. We have an enemy who has 10 times our Economy and till such time we bridge that gap , we have to find ways and means to defend ourselves with what we have. Keep in mind that because of this Economic disparity our Armed Forces Doctrine is Defensive rather than Offensive in nature.

We will have to improvise and improve our JF-17 Platform to meet our defensive needs because we like the cost of this aircraft. We will induct JF-17 in large numbers, but it would not hurt to have some other more potent Platform in smaller numbers. Especially if newer blocks of JF-17 start using WS-10 engines used by J-16, there may be some efficiencies PAF could capitalize on.

But all in all the greatest deciding factor would be the cost factor. I think a Squadron or two of these awesome machines would give Pakistan Navy a solid defensive Punch against Indian Navy.

Any idea what is a ballpark price of this aircraft is ?

No less than 50 millions USD per

J16 mounted with WS10H is a real monster, Pakistan sure need it.

You loose half the war the moment you under estimate your enemy.
Japan is no rival without USA's help.

Any Indian members count Japan to defeat China is having wet dream.
