For F-15E this is the job of back seat pilot.

The back seat is equipped for a weapon systems officer (WSO, pronounced "wizzo") to work the new air-to-ground avionics. The WSO uses multiple screens to display information from the radar, electronic warfare, or thermographic cameras, monitor aircraft or weapons status and possible threats, select targets, and use an electronic moving map to navigate.

Hi,

Twin seater is needed for electronic counter measures aircraft---.

Works perfect for working thru data link and launching weapons of other aircrafts at a designated target---.

Which mean this twin seater can possibly be an aesa equipped aircraft---which can turn on its radar and the support aircraft with weapons maybe with conventional radar---keep their radars shut---the lead aircraft gets a lock on target and may launch the designated weapons.

This way you can change the angle of strike at the same target---the aircraft maybe some what dispersed / wide spread---.

Suddenly the job of of a wizzo becomes the most important job---.

The two seater would be a major game player---.

Just remember how long ago did I write here on this forum how important the 2 seater would be---. It would more important than most of your wildest imaginations---.
