JF17 thunder (As of February 2011) under evaluation.FC-1 reported to have passed a design appraisal in December 2009.
Why jf 17thunder still under evaluation by china air fore is is not good enough for china air force
It can replace there F7 which are in large no or it was only built by the for Pakistan air force Pakistan has 34 and china is still testing 4 prototypes

There are many chances that they will induct the block 2 of jf17 thunder as the block 2 would be 4.5 generation and can work perfectly with j10

hmmm i think they are concentation is right now on J10B and J20 but they are building so many for us right now ooder for 50 urgent JF17 thunder will be deliverd soon to replace f7 in pakistan

wait an year till the block II is inducted

they are testing JFT regularly nxt to J-20 and j-10B.they will indeed induct it bt when it is modified to meet their requirements

DSI intakes are good.

Reduced costs of production and operation. And also less complexity.

Question: Is that how the block II would really look as posted by the OP?

China is not poor nation, they will not consider light weight fighter for point defense role. They will replace there MiG21 by J10 rather than thinking of FC1.

Note: FC1 is good plane, but it doesn't fit in Chinese ambition..

under evaluation for 2 years, why dont you folks read info thread and start jumping your own conclusions? China has agreed to take FC-1 as a replacement of Q-5 and some J-7s in ground attack variant with WS-13 engine and they have been testing it for this very purpose.

Chain would defiantly go for JF17 block2 it’s cheaper then J10 jf17 would be perfect to replace f7 why you do think they gone for co-production and development in first place
