I think I'm once again the bad guy ruining the party, but given the fact how mis-shaped the JF-17 is, how much wrong the PL-8s - in fact with PL-9 front fins - are, I would say it is just another mis-shaped tank.

I try to do the same in real life whenever I am presented with a wild scenario.

... No one was claiming anything either but you know, curiosity and interesting guess work is always healthy for discussion. It could have been something not meant for Thunder but those technicians forgot to take it away before photo shoot.

Its just a mock-up. The pl-8s were dummies.
