Correct me if I am wrong but this isn't this the first time the JF - 17 is being fielded in exercises with other countries not named China or Saudi Arabia. I believe it may be the first up close and personal look the USAF or Royal Airforce will get at this fighter.

The only thing that the original super 7 had in with the eventual super 7/jf-17 was the name and that china was one of the partners. The JF-17 borrowed more from the Mig-33 (IZD 33) light fighter concept.

Indian jokers never seize trolling in JF-17 discussions, if they must than why do they forget JF-17 borrowed F-35 & F-16 technology?

When JF-17 was flying, Indian TEJA was having instrument panel. They adopted MFD lot later, can we say TEJA borrowed MFD from JF-17!

Hi there is nothing to be ashamed of JF17 did borrowed many design work of Mig33 i remmeber 20 years back when I was young in late teens this was discussed to death ,First PT1 was with out DSI and other goodies which we are seeing right now ,JF17 incorporates many tech from J20 program which was instrumental as Chinese were toying with the idea of DSI in 2000 they got hacked the F35 design and it was great days for Chinese aviation ,Real prestige point is we have 100 ,50 coming with AESA soon ,Its a famous saying "I lie ,I Cheat and I steal" who the **** cares we have working 4++ kicking @ss platform

I hope you aren't referring to me as an Indian joker... I stated simply that Mig-33/IZD-33 influenced the design of the JF-17. IT wasnt the only one to do so. Rather the F-16, the F-35 (through dsi hack) and the Romanian IAR-95 all probably had some degree of design influence on the JF-17...

That isnt a bad thing and it isnt a copy of all of these or any of these fighters. Rather it took design elements from them and some that were the creation of the engineers at CAC and created the JF-17. I was countering the narrative that it is based on the same super 7 concept of the CAC/grumman program which was based on Mig-21. The proportions amongst many other issues are completely off and the only thing they have in common are the name of the original project, that they have side intakes and that china was a partner of the program that spawned them.

and how this one its quite similar to JF-17 in the term of design and philosophy

Both fighters were designed to be indigenous and allow for a local aircraft good enough to supplant the F-16 (and other fighters) not available for purchase.

The FCK-1 is currently the only aircraft comparable to the JF-17 in performance and flyaway costs(although $25 million in 1990 is different to $25 million today)

Can anyone refer me to the post of block 2 improvements over block 1 ..

Thank you.

With each blocks, Jf17 is going to have new radar ?

There is no table representation of Block 1 vs block 2 ?
Its basically a upgrade of block-1 radar in block-2 rather than a new radar KLJ-7 in block-1 has a range of 75-80 km with a limited ground attack capability whereas KLJ-7V2 radar has range of 130 km has more air to ground modes better ECCM within the radar
What is you trying to ask please explain more thanks
