JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

it is very rare that someone makes a successful export model that they do not use
it is fine if j-10 is their frontline fighter aircraft.

it does not explain why they operate 500+ J-7s
We will talk to them and try to convince them that even if their j7s have some airframe/service life left throw those 500 j7s away and start inducting jf17 and we also request them the money which they r already putting on j10s put it in light weight fighter bcz thats what they actually need , now that is fine i guess

it is weird paf acquires jf-17 to replace j-7 while plaaf is content to go the other route

it would be weird for china to induct a foreign fighter
jf-17 is more pakistani fighter than chinese(~60% share), designed for pakistan, CAC never designed it for PLAAF, PLAAF had its j-10 but PAF never wanted J-10, it would have been 100% more expensive for PAF to buy it, the very reason why J-10 has no export customers JF-17 already has 2

it would be weird for USA to induct gripen as it wasnt built for USA they have their f-16s, it would be weird for USA to induct FCK-1, or to induct Japanese F-2, or the F 5 and list is very lengthy

Pakistan formally rejects Su-35 as Russia denies AESA radar.
According to our sources Pakistan Air Force wanted an improved And customized version of Su-35 according to their operational requirements but Russia denied the integration of an AESA radar over existing platforms in favor of newly built Su-57 fifth generation fighter aircraft.
Also Pakistan Air Force required a more complicated and better EW/ECM system , But they rejected the deal after Russians didn’t agree to provide crucial technology.
An expected sale of Su-35 Fighter aircraft’s was being discussed between Pakistan & Russia since 2015.

They operate J-7 for decades not new build . Their J-7 will possibly replace by J-10 and other different class fighter.. and Pakistan have lot of J-7 clone which they will replace by JF-17 . For Pakistan J-10 role currently played by F-16 which they are operating for 3 decades so lot of experience .

it is designed by chinese firm

doesnt it also seems weird that IAF have single engine tejas but still they r not ready to induct it whole heartedly and going for other 126 foreigner planes???
Man! its the requirement and resources which let u decide on which way u will go, try to get it if u can and stop discussing baseless argument, u inducted and they dont and so on,
just chill like :chilli: :-)

tejas is not ready despite the claims of DRDO

@wiseone2 was hoping someone will post a list of all ongoing deals for JF-17. Fortunately, no one around here has that kind of information. It'll be like digging for gold in an oil well :D
