Since it is only on one side, the side of the IFR probe, what is the possibility it is for night-time IFR operations?

Most probably. Read post 4128 by @S.U.R.B.

Stupid questions:

1: Why all prototypes are painted yellow? To make it easy to identify and more visible?
2: What are those Green panels along with yellow color? Are they composite plates?
3: Is there any possibility or plan for installing CFT on coming blocks?
4: Can we install IRST on existing blocks too?

answers any one?

Answer1

It's a corrosion-resistant undercoat to protect the airframe and form a good base for whatever paint finish will be applied later.
From memory it's a strontium chromate compound, which is also good at inhibiting reactions between dissimilar metals (where steel and aluminium are touching, for instance)

answer 2

May be green one panels can be open unlike yellow one which are fixed and they paint just for identification
after they check or test the plane they paint green one in yellow to

Answer 3
they are making CFT for J-10 maybe they are also working for JF-17

Answer 4
I think yes we can install IRST on existing blocks like Chinese will Install IRST on existing planes (J-10)

Two additional things I'm seeing on this JF-17.. First Pic.... The light thingy on the DSI what is that? Second behind th ecanopy, the round thingy. Any Idea @Dazzler @Oscar @RAMPAGE
The round thing behind the canopy is the beacon light most likely. The other thing on the DSI is the Missile Approach warning sensor mostly likely.

MashaAllah, great to see that Thunder is still evolving ... Can't wait to see Block-3 in this testing phase though I am fully aware that is going to take some time. But great thing is, despite pursuing F-16s, PAF is still pushing the development of Thunder aggressively :)

Conformal fuel tank?

copy from a friend
1. The aircraft also uses Carbon-Fiber Composites on the upper fuselage and the Horizontal tail that reduce the Radar Cross-Section (RCS) of the aircraft. The aircraft (2P29) will reach Pakistan for high g load and sustained turn trials.
2.will also start refueling trials from March through the Ilyushin IL-78 tanker.
3. New EW suite from Indra Spain
4.This aircraft also has 2 Chin hardpoints for the WMD-7 and INDRA targeting pods and the KG-300 and KG-600 radar jammers.
5.Carefree Augmented handling (CAH) with Quadriplex Fly-by-wire control system.
6. Another feature is Multi Rack Ejector Pylons for BVR missiles so now 2 SD-10 BVR missiles can be carried on one hardpoint. Moreover, new sensors and an IRST pod too (external).
