But Oscar, Shaheen-1, Abdali, Ghaznavi, Agni (Pak, Indian SRBM, MRBM of 300-700 KM range) are designed keeping in mind they will be used in conventional battlefield to provide extreme firepower in short time. You assumption BM used = nuclear threshold crossed which is partially true imho

anything barging down on a country from the edge of space at mach silly speeds is sure to send panic waves...and instantly identifiable as an incoming ballistic missile....carrying tons of warhead which can he a very large nuclear warhead.....

same cannot be said about cruise missiles...they carry much less weight and hence small warhead...

so no chances are taken in case of a ballistic missile attack...

Argentine officials confirm joint-production talks over China's FC-1 fighter
Richard D Fisher Jr, Paris - IHS Jane's Defence Industry

23 June 2013

Officials from Argentine aerospace company Fabrica Argentina de Aviones (FAdeA) told IHS Jane's at the 2013 Paris Air Show they have had multiple discussions with Chinese officials over potential co-production of the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) FC-1/JF-17 multirole combat aircraft.

Discussions are far from concluded, with FAdeA officials saying "technology transfer" issues remain a sticking point. Nonetheless, the discussions are the first formal effort that could lead to the co-production of a modern Chinese fighter in Latin America. FAdeA officials said the co-produced FC-1 could be called the 'Pulqui-III', recalling FAdeA's Pulqui-II, Latin America's first swept wing jet fighter, which was designed by Germany's Kurt Tank for the government of Juan Peron.

The same might probably happen to them. When you are onto BM's.. it means that you've already crossed that nuclear threshold. So your BM's are flying(and they have certain modifications(Thank you disenfranchised ) onto them to ensure that the ABM's will get only a few will get taken down(mostly the Ghauri variety). In addition to the >60 missiles that will be in the air.. there will be an equal quantity of CM's in the air as well and even 1/4th of them getting through is enough to make the target.

In a nuclear war, we arent as badly outmached as is thought.. I can assure you.
Then again, in a nuclear war.. there are NO winners as much as certain glass ego's will be coming out here soon to comment in order to somehow consider the death of millions a victory.

Does it apply to missiles like the Al-Nasr which, unless I'm mistaken, would be a somewhat decent platform to target fixed installations even if we only use a conventional warhead over them ? :what:

different members on argentinian fora are already posting their hypothetical integrations

hypothetically speaking, if they set up a production line in south america, would Pakistan receive any revenues from it?

Selling JF-17 to Argentina......BAD BAD very BAD idea.

The Argentines are in a feud with British, meaning Pakistan cannot jeopardize it's relations. Not to mention that if Pakistan goes for western systems for JF-17 in the future, they would simply refuse.

By Western systems i mean, only USA, Britain, Italy and France are capable of delivering avionics, USA is out obviously and France and Britain won't allow. Italians are not that superior anyway.

Are those SD-10s. ??

One thing is sure, both are different missile, two possibilities exist

1. One is SD-10 on left and other is SD-10 B, since missile on right is more rounded and left one is pointed

2. One is LD-10 on left and other is SD-10 X

By enlarging thepic, missile on left definately looks like LD-10

They could have gone for Su-27/30 models, may be money is the problem for them too.

Their AF is in a very bad shape, JFT will be a good addition.

I believe both are BVR, Is there much difference in their performance.

with the progress made by the chinese the avionics are no longer a major issue. The engine remains one but PAF does not want to go the EU way for more or less the same reasons it does not want to go to the US.
