not a bad idea to be honest. why should we ashmae of deploying troops in friendly and strategic partner country especially if it fetches money

the Mushshaq deal with Iraq was influenced by the Saudis to bring in $$$ for PAC.
the saudis dont need the JFT at all. they have access to tier-1 military hardware and materials from the west. PK needs money until its economy recovers (read power crisis).
the chinese may be our friends but they dont give anything for free. remember the 50 JFT 'gift' to be delivered in 6-months, what happened?. just a figment of our media's imagination. one has to pay for their military hardware which is cost-effective when compared to the west.
Delays in major pakistani programs.
1. JFT - at least 2 years behind schedule. 3rd sqn not formed.
2. Submarines - at least 3-4 years behind schedule. german deal was 95% agreed except for the price. chinese submarine agreement 2 years behind schedule - reason money!
3. AL Khalid MBT - requirement is for 1200 tanks. so far only 350-400 delivered.
4. Self-Propelled Mortar System - an army requirement for the strike corps. money needed 1Bill USD. delayed. FMS not forthcoming.
similarly UAE is another country which has surplus $$$ and can be influenced to invest in the PK arms industry.
this is how bad it is at the moment.

Very disappointed to hear this, Pakistan does not have economy concept except fix mechanic issues on rickshaw. Saudi Arabia doesn't provide to support us especially JF-17 at all after some interesting rumors, they are not our friends but filthy friend troublemaker.

Only way Pakistan need to grow up to learn importances of economy than rely on other countries' funds or permanently fight each other for trophy.

This is the unfortunate reality but our prayers are with pakistan and inshallah everything will work out. Look at the shape of your military right now. Its one of the best in the world. you have nuclear weapons and you have a good defense industry. Its not that bad but like you said it could be better.

Jordon possibly could go for F-16 block 50+ and or strong rumors of Euro Typhoons. Pakistan needs excellent marketing team for their products and to explore alternate markets in south america. We keep failing because we're not interested even serbians are better than us at marketing. Lastly the biggest problem is engine! without sanction free...a powerful engine availability you can't market jf-17 atleast.

Take a country like brazil the mirage 2000 they say have no life left in them whereas F-5s and A-4s of 70's are full of life hard to imagine though that french mirages have no air worthiness left compared to F-5s/A-4s hardly believable but corrupt lot is everywhere.

Jog my memory again please: PT-04 = JF-17 and PT-06 =FC-1? … … Although I am sure for some tests, it won’t matter PT-04 or PT-06.
