The rumor is that the modified JF17 has been testing WS13 and AESA

jft vs gripen

Isn't something off about the climb rates of the two? The Thunder climbs at 250 m/s but the 5,500 m/minute rate for the Gripen comes out to 91.6666... m/s. Or is that not the max rate for the Swede?

The array under PT-04 seems to be Data link antenna's.

I have always questioned that figure too. The leaked Swiss report said >200. So the 5,500 mpm is wrong. Some sources say 254m/s for Gripen. That sounds more realistic.

They Gripen E is advertised at >200 mps.

Summary: Army for rent. Now on sale!

On topic, at least the funds will help develop the JF-17 project, if this is indeed the plan.
There was a time when arabs came to the subcontinent along with the turks to join the Mughal and other princely state armies. The tide has now turned. This is the way of the world nothing to laugh about. Psople have stomachs that demand food and food costs.

If US deal with Arabs we are not happy, if we deal with Arabs, Indian, Iranians and Americans and their loyalists are not happy.
This world would never be happy.. remember the story of a man his son and donkey!

I agree that times change, and with it what must be done. Indeed such are the ways of the world. If Pakistan can raise funds for the JF-17 or any other projects by renting itself out in order to meet its needs, then so be it.

So, here is something interesting...

Saudi Defence Ministry, Hawk AJT, JF-17 and light fighters (35 credits)

The Saudi Defence Ministry is said to be going ahead with a project to buy tactical support fighter jets to work side-by-side with the land forces. The following 422-word report sheds light on the project and tells how many tactical fighters the Ministry intends to buy. It also tells what about the preferred types and what about the Hawk AJT and the JF-17. [Partly reproduced in Tactical Weekly (Issue No 21/11 – March 14, 2014)]

Tactical Report - Saudi Defence Ministry, Hawk AJT, JF-17 and light fighters

I don't have access to the full article, but it does bring up some hope of potential sales to KSA (which I still personally doubt will happen).

Since you are regularly mentioning renting, since Zardair left. please, support your rants with logic.

JF-17 deal with Saudi Arabia given green light and go ahead.
Details will be announced in a few weeks time with official signings and all that. For now, the news is that it is going ahead and may well be a ToT venture!
