Cool. :D

Will the Blk 2 would have dual rack for missiles?

Dual racks are a part of JFT hardpoint arrangement from the very start. Dont you remember pt-03 with bombs mounted on dual rack? Similar arrangement is made for other weapons (guided and non guided). All seven hardpoints are provided with Mil-STD-1553B Databus

Its very evident that you have very poor knowledge of programming languages. Can you please explain the bolded part in detail?
All that you spoke about abstraction, inheritance is true for any OOP-languauge. If you didn't know, ADA is also an OOP Language. Its all bull **** when you say "C++ is easier to code or less bug free" when compare to ADA. I can disprove all of that when it comes to avionic software.

Its not the language but the process that is important and in that regard penumbra is right when he says you can find more programmers who would know C++ in PAK and hence easier to make the product "In-House".

Dear,

When you develop for an embedded system, C++ is the boss ... why ... because

1. It allows native arithmetic, without any need for encapsulated intermediaries.
2. Its a true "Write once compile anywhere" architecture ... spanning 8bit, 16bit, 32bit, 64bit and even 128bit flawlessly. Have you even came across a recent supercomputer/mainframe code written in Java/Ada ?
3. Native and non-Native liberaries can be dynamically or statically linked very very very easily.
4. Flexible memory management ... use stack, heap and any other form of memory ... use MMU if your hardware supports it, dont use it if it doesnt support etc etc ...
5. Macros, operator overloading and much much innovation that came only with C/C++ and some languages supported it and some simply coudn't
6. And much more goodies that make it essentially a superset of Ada/Java/C# ... which makes it essentially difficult to comprehend as a whole, but much too easy to find a work-around for any specefic need.

All embedded devices (minus concurrent hardware i.e. FPGAs) use C++. The only exception came with Android that tried to bring Java into action ... but then they had to bring in JNI and NDK to fill in the gaps where Java couldnt provided which had already been there in C++ since decades.

And btw this is from more than a decade of embedded programming experience.

Regards,
Sapper

I'm not sure why this C++ programming debate has been lingering on for so long. Even though the JF-17 is a lightweight aircraft, it incorporates many of the latest trends and features of aeronautical design, like the DSI, large MFDs instead of dials(which even the vaunted SU-27 Indian export variant has), AND programming using modern languages rather than antiquated arcane ones.

For example, though earlier F-16 variants used Jovial(specialized variant of ALGOL) and Ada, the latest Block-60 ones moved to C++. These lower-level languages were useful back in the day when these mission computers were not capable and efficient enough to support more advanced languages. I doubt if Russia's going to write T-50's mission computer code in assembly or some other low-level lingo either, so though the vaunted "MKIII" may have that, aircraft that succeed it probably won't.

If u have a good sound system turn on the bass at full and use a little high volume...There will be a point where u will actually fall off the chair your sitting on LOL!!!

Imran Khan has posted pictures but still i wanna ask, Having dual racks will not put more stress on engine? since AESA, IRST will be used on block 2 and as we know RD-93 has under-power issues ( and since Pshamim saab has also said retractable IFR is not considered on block 2 because of engine under power issues

JF-17 and Sabb Erieye will participtae in Dubai air show.

Pakistani Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C at Dubai Air Show 2011 ~ Pakistan Military Review

Pakistani Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C at Dubai Air Show 2011

The Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C (airborne early warning and control aircraft) of the Pakistan Air Force at the Dubai Air Show 2011.

PAF has purchased four fully functional Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C aircraft and one training aircraft. Pakistan Air Force received its first Erieye in October 2009. All the Erieye systems along with ground stations were delivered by the end of 2010.
The starboard side windows were removed from the Pakistani Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C to outfitte them with 5 mission operator consoles.

The 200 solid state module, PS-890 Erieye active phased array pulse Doppler radar can become operational just 3 minutes after the take-off and provides an effective surveillance area of 500,000km². From standard operational altitude of 6000m (19,685 feets), PS-890 Erieye radar has detection range of 450km and tracking range of 350km against fighter jets.

The Pakistani Saab-2000 AEW&C uses of new generation radar transmit/receive modules which generate around 60% extra output. Higher operating ceiling of 9,150 ma and increased radar output allows Pakistani Erieye AEW&C to detect both air and maritime targets much longer ranges then the first and second generation Erieye systems.
The Pakistani Erieye can detect hovering helicopters and track small naval targets to a range of 350km. Its S-band radar offers much more better anti-jamming capability then the L-and radars.
Sabb-2000 AEW&C can provide surveillance in 160° broadside sector on both sides of the AEW&C. Erieye has capability to search the targets in the 20° sectors fore and aft of the Saab-2000 AEW&C but its can not track its targets in forward and aft directions.
The Saab-2000 is also outfitted with the Saab Avitronics HES-21 electronic support measures (ESM) and self-protection suite. The self-protection system (SPS) consists of Saab Avitronics LWS-310 laser warning system, Saab Avitronics MAW-300 missile launch and approach warner (MAW) , chaff and flare dispensing system (CFDS).

The Saab-2000 Erieye AEW&C a can reach operating ceiling of over 30,000ft (9,150m) in 15 minutes and has an endurance of 9.5 hours.

Pakistan Gears Up For Dubai Airshow 2011 With 7 Aircrarfts ~ Pakistan Military Review

Pakistan Gears Up For Dubai Airshow 2011 With 7 Aircrarfts
10:09 PM Qamar No comments

Pakistan Air Force is participating with seven aircrafts at the Dubai Airshow 2011. Organisers of the Dubai Air Show 2011 has said that pp to 1,000 exhibitors from 50 different countries will participate in air show.

Thee JF-17 Thunder fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will take part in this year's Dubai Air Show. One Jf-17 Thunder will perform aerobatic manoeuvres, second will be ready as replacement if first JF-17 suffers from some problem, while third will be used as for the static display at the air show.

This will be the first appearance of the JF-17 Thunderby at the Middle Eastern airshow. The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC) has jointly developed the FC-1 / JF-17 Thunder as an affordable forth generation aircraft.

Pakistan has made considerable investment in the PAC to support the full-spectrum airframe & major avinoics production capability.

Pakistani JF-17 project management team headed is by Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Arif. The Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Arif has said "We have learnt how to integrate different avionics and weapon systems on to the JF-17." This will allow Pakistan and China to customize the aircraft to effectively meet the requirements of the customer.

Pakistan and China have already created a joint marketing organisation to promote the JF-17 Thunder fighter jet to the international customers.

Two K-8 Karakuram intermediate jet trainer and MFI-395 Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force will also take part in the airshow. Pakistan Aeronautical Complex has successfully exported the MFI-395 Super Mushshak to many Middle Eastern countries.

This year Dubai Airshow will run from 13 to 17 November 2011 at Airport Expo.

Guys, is the JF-17 generating vortex/vapour or actually releasing smoke. ?
One thing for sure, it looks a powerful toy in this shot.
