nabil_05 - no's 16 & 26 are designated for the 1st two sqdns of JFT's to replace / retire the current mounts of these two sqdns A-5C's - both temporarily based at Kamra and will eventually relocate to Peshawar AF Base.

Because of one ignorant (either he is being ignorant deliberately or unknowingly ) we can't derail the whole thread .bringing this indian stuff will only derial this thread further as very soon you will see many other indian members to either defend or start bashing our stuff due to this post.

If one is ignorant or trying to act like one,its better to leave him and let him die because of his ignorance rather then taking yourself down to his level and disgracing yourself in process

How much do you want from a light fighter? Its radar can guide four, not two sd-10s simultaneously, search range is 150 kms, MTBF 230 hours, 30 modes of functions, this all gives it a good cost to performance ratio, is being improved and built in house, better than the rest of our radar inventory except the APG 68 V9 but than V9 is better than most pulse dopplers in the world anyway

quite true, but what i was pointing or trying to convey was that if PAF want the JFT to be its future, there are a couple of sections that require improvement and the radar is one of them.
in current scenario, it would be ideal to look toward the JFT as the main stay and back bone of our force in comming years and we need to improve on the system to acheive this.

i hope the later blocks (BlkIII onwards) carry a better radar, a more powerfull engine and hence a couple of more hard points. more use of composities will further reduce its RCS and that will be the modle that can be the life line for PAF in comming decades..

The human resource trained on these technologies at PAC can make valuable contributions to the national skill potential. Over a long period, capitalizing on their high skill level, the human resource can even evolve as an upstream vendor industry.

The fruits of this endeavour are manifested in the form of JF‑17 Thunder aircraft, which is an all weather lightweight aircraft, having an advanced airframe design, high aerial manoeuvrability, state‑of‑the‑art avionics systems, and a wide array of weapons. Equipped with these features, it can truly be placed in the higher strata of medium‑tech aircraft category. The flexibility of customisation in incorporating the avionics suite would prevent the briskness of technological advancements from outpacing the strategic foresight. The JF‑17 has been designed to stand in good stead in the future and it is envisaged to remain the mainstay of PAF for years to come

The JF‑17 Thunder Programme is a landmark achievement in the quest for realizing a dream through friendly cooperation between two countries. The co‑production of JF‑17, a vital and integral element of the overall programme, is undoubtedly a challenging project undertaken by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex in support of the national goal of self‑reliance. The newly established state‑of‑the‑art facilities represent a quantum leap in the technological capability of PAC and shall be a forerunner of even bigger endeavours.

The personnel of PAF draw inspiration from the countless sacrifices rendered by our national heroes and the contribution made towards defence of the motherland. The distinction of belonging to a select group of countries capable of manufacturing a fighter aircraft should indeed be a boost to the national esteem. S 7 MEANS SUPER 7 WHICH IS THE EX NAME OF JF 17.

Replacement schedule for aircraft
“China has promised Pakistan to export its assembly plant by Mar 2008 in order to make further modification in its design and avionics according to its requirements. For this, aeronautical engineers of both countries are working together at CHENDGU AIRCRAFT CORPORATION (C.A.C.). Scheduled replacement of these aircrafts is as follows.
