now compare and tell me how drastically crude is jf17s finishing according to my indian friends

i can see the same ''rusting/oil dripping marks'' at the belly and clear bounderies 'less flushing' around the landing gear in most fighters

moreover it should be noted that the angles from which the photos are taken might affect the perception of bad finishing

also our jf17s have lighter paint work

the rusty 'oil driping marks' , might just be due to different pods being attatched in the middle region of the fighter

Just saw it on the news that Chinese PM will be escorted by JF-17 in Pakistan air space.

Exactly what i wanted to discuss, 2 JF-17's will escort the Chinese prime minister's plane. As far as i know since they will be there to "Protect" the plane they should be carrying A2A weapons and no point in carrying the weapons when they cannot fire them so it means the A2A weapons integration is now complete and since they will most likely be from the first squadron which was supposed to be for "Ground Support only"....... can someone explain?

Wait what? All JF-17s are multi role. The airplane is not configured for specific squadron. The pilots are. You can have JF-17 be armed with Cruise missiles and bombs for Ground attack while the same JF-17 can have it's weapons replaced with A2A weaponry on next mission.

That squadron is ground attack, because the pilots are trained for that mission, as opposed to lets say, f-16 squadron which will have more focus on dog-fighting.

Maybe Sir Murad can clear it, but all JF-17s are to be same. The ground attack aircraft doesn't mean it only carries ground attack weapons. It can carry whole lot more, because the radar and electronics will be same across the board.

JFT is a MR weapons platform. MR stands for Multi-Role.

I know that JF-17 is Multirole fighter, i was just pointing out that as per some information that has been floating on the internet and in these forums the A2A weapons integration is not complete and that is why for the time being the first squadron will be for ground role only. So i was just wondering if it is complete and right at this moment JF-17 can fire missiles.

YouTube - JF-17 Thunder test fires PL-5 air-to-air missile

Initial deliveries of the Rafale M were to the F1 ("France 1") standard. This meant that the aircraft was suitable for air-to-air combat, replacing the obsolescent F-8 Crusader as the Aviation Navale's carrier-based fighter, but not equipped or armed for air-to-ground operations.

I doubt on Chinies engine, It must be russian engine. Russia will not give the design without some string attached, I think first 100+ will fly on russian engine once that contract over rest will fly on engine they(customers) like...

OK got my answer.....thanks

Can you please tell us which missile it was?

As it is very new platform, I seriously doubt that it will be used in Air to Air role, New platforms always used first for CAS(close air support). After 5-6 years when it will graduate, it will be used for Multi role... So don worry, MiG33 is very effective plane, It will serve its purpose... enjoy...

Absolutely..it is..
I wish I could return the goodwill sentiment regarding your dassault mini-mirage..unfortunately..its not looking too good.
but the Mk2 will definitely address those issues..so dont lose your faith.

The structural issues are trivial..
Also..the fact that such ripples appeared...is a testament to the amount of loads that the LERX and wing planform are bearing.. yet there is very little actual flex in them. Talk about a strong inner structure.

This is the second time that you are bringing in Mig-33 reference, and this is strike 2 for you, next time you will be sent packing.

Before you, many other Indian trolls / so called keyboard aviation experts have derailed the thread with this same discussion, end result was that they couldn't proof anything since they had no proof, except for their delusional trolling to satisfy their egos and they are nowhere on this forum. We know lot of burning is happening on that side of the border, so such attitude is the perfect way to take out frustration, it would be recommended that instead of burning and taking out the frustration on us, take it out on your own stuff due to which you guys seem so frustrated.

So if you wish to stay on this forum (which by the way from your attitude doesn't shows), don't post the idiotic comments next time or come with proof, facts and visual proofs.

Hope the message is clear and don't come back with a stupid explanation.

Also, no need for others coming out and arguing about what I said, as that is the reality and nothing can change it, so no need to try further to derail the thread
