My hunch is, We are not going to see stealth features on block-2, rather upgraded avionics and IFR will come in Block-2 and major shape changes will occur in Block-3

i think same as you structure change is not gonna happen in block-2 its coming with many goodies but stealth structure will be in block-3

There are no scope for any farther block left i think because Pakistan have to focus on fifth generation fighter after this unless the current platform can be upgrade with stealth features . so now after this block II Pakistan must focus on a true fifth generation fighter .

I think you are living in fools world . bst option you have right now is either J-20 or F-35 , you just don't have the resources to develop your own 5th generation fighter

We ARE working on a stealth JF-17. I guess you were off for a month so you didn't see the post.

Actually what last hope is trying to say is that there is another version that PAF Is interested in something called the JXX. The design has been shown to the PAF and they were impressed. It is the same as F-35 being offered to partner nations. JXX will be cheap alternative to the more expensive J-20 and which by the way as suggested by many chinese members will remain PLAAF exclusive.

i think PAF will become a major partner in it, chinese may use it to complement their j-20s but money will be issue..i think PAF will near enough resources once it completed the f-16/j-10 and Jf-17 induction

We ARE working on a stealth JF-17. I guess you were off for a month so you didn't see the post.

Oops! One more dreamer. The least RCS of nonstealth fighter is EFT and rafael (As per their claim its RCS is <1m2). At fully loaded (without Drop tank) They will have RCS of 3-4m2 (Discussed in PDF many times and agreed by RCS experts). Its also discussed that RCS reduction for 4th gen fighters are of not much use..

With the advent of better radars, RCS of 3m2 is quite targetable.. No matter what you do with JF17, you can not bring down it RCS. The minimum RCS you can get (In loaded configuration) is 4m2 (assuming Naked JF17 contribute only 1m2 (frontal RCS))..


A JF17 with Internal weapon bay is waste of resources, looking at the size of JFT I don think that it can keep more than 2 AAMs under its belly.

If you go my way, Pakistan not need any penny to spend for defense. But if you insist, O think its better if Pakisan joins J20 or similar project with China...
