Blk 2 can carry 4 if needed be on hardpoints 2 3 5 & 6. Blk 3 will add DERs and will carry at least 6 if needed, for on DERs and one each in one hardpoint.

Not sure why station 3 and 5 are not shown to cary multiple ejector racks for 250 kg or mk82 type ??

Also sdb options being looked at ? Chinese or even pak version based on REK ?

Based on clearance between 1 and 2 and 7 and 6 there is room to add additional station like f-16 ? Wingspan is almost same 9.4 vs 9.8/10 meters

Dual pylons on position 2 and 6 has been tested successfully.

When i was there, they were running multiple shifts during the production of blk2. I'm pretty sure they are doing the same right now

There may be some reason why dual racks are not being used for SD10s if they have been tested. All JF17s sighted on training missions and those on Feb 26/27th carried two SD10s

Areas where hardpoints can be/ could be mounted.
Yes. This is where I think there was an oversight from the design stage. Personal opinion. And for those thinking this is a light fighter, well adding 2 hardpoints for BVRs suddenly doesn't make it a medium or heavy fighter.

If you look at the inner most Pylon for the Drop Tank, its deep (height) enough to have a AIM-9/PL-5 class missile mount installed to the side of it, just like F-15 has. I don't think there is enough room for two with on one each side, but definitely on the outer side. Yes it will require wind-tunnel testing, modifying code etc, but it will free up the wing-tip mount for SD-10 type. This probably be the easier and faster way to add weapon station to it for the AAM mode, it will give JF-17 6 SD-10 (four on duel rack, two wing-tips ) and two PL-5s/8s/10s on inner-fuel tank pylon.

I doubt the wingtips can carry SD-10s or PL-15s. Unless in the latest block they are strengthened.

F-16 wings are incredibly strong and have a flutter problem. AMRAAMs on wingtips helps this flutter problem. Kind of like a glorified wing fence.

It is really interesting that we don't have a single leaked image of Block-III production in China. Usually, they got out but seems like PAF wants to keep it under the wrap as long as possible.
