JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

When is the expected arrival of first JF17 Block III ?
Many people assumed the arrive will be in 2020! , Been surprising why this extra time has taken?

The tiny snaps of few parts and assembly line is great but it's time we see some proper induction , otherwise 2021 is almost gone as well

It's time we started to see images of fully complete , JF17 Block III :coffee:

Chinese completed Typoe 054 Frigate faster then our JF17 Block III

Looking at the slow pace of things, I think JF B3 will come in 1st quarter of 2022. It might be due to covid protocols splitting workers into smaller teams, supply chain issues for parts and general desi mast mahol pace. The J10C might be further away than 1st quarter of 2022.

I have had a go at an estimate count the modules. The exposed has 110 modules. There is also 12 columns and 10 raws.

The whole antenna will fit 4 of these quarter segments with 440 modules subtotal. There are 5 squares of same dimensions as the sectors. The squares have 12 x 10 = 120 modules each with a subtotal of 600 modules. The whole antenna has approximately 1040 modules.

100-110 ... that is 11 rows and not 10. Ten would be 0-9. So taking that and putting in your square calculations would be 5(12x11) = 665 modules. So whole antenna must have 440+665 = 1105 modules. Number is greater than APG-80 (1000), but less than APG-77(1500), APG63V2 and V3 (~1500), APG-81 (1200) and equal to APG-79 (1100) and for a fighter sized of JF-17, I think this is ideal as at least in T/R number count it's better than AESA being offered for F-16 (APG-80). This comparison with American AESAs are in T/R count ONLY. In no ways I am saying one is better than others in overall performance. But I am more carious about T/R count on KLJ-7A which is going to be in Block III. Any ideas or official number?

Standard ground /sea attack with one centerline drop tank and all other hp for weapons

no pl-15 displayed with Jf17 in air show ???

Koreans had once displayed a multiple weapons pylon with lgb on one side and aim120 on other side of same pylons

What % of each block is built from composite materials?

Since its conception, did CAC/PAC targeted a set % of the plane to be built from composite materials?

No PL-10 displayed either, despite it being operational on Block 3. So these are the older weapons.
