Jesus Christ has no mention in history : PM IMRAN Khan

There is a big debate among Christians about the Jesus. The guy they present as Jesus looks like a European while Jesus was a born in middle-east (Palestine) and never went to Europe. The best account of Prophet Esa is in the holy Quran.
i dont think there is a BIG debate about Jesus in Christianity. The whole argument about if Jesus white Euro or middle easterner is more a product of modern racial sensitivity thank anything else. That doesnt change how Christians see Jesus imo.

He didn't say anything controversial, if you watch the who video you'll see he is talking about the impact the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had on history. However he shouldn't have said what he did, because of it's scope for being misinterpreted. It was very clumsy.

There was really no need for that sentence in there. It would have been much better to say of all religious figures in the world the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the most documented. That would be true; there are many historical documents referencing the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), including some from non-Muslim sources.

An unprofessional moment, which is a shame because we should be talking about all the excellent stuff he said during the rest of his speech. This faux pas is entirely on him.
I agree. He might be factually correct, but contextually he slipped. Making controversial, weird comments as a national leader about other religions will do no good.

Yeah, it comes across as inaccurate and worse still disrespectful.

This is wrong statement may be slip of tongue.Jesus A.S has strong history and His name and description come in Holy Quran and Hadees many times .As a Muslim we should respect all Prophets of ALLAH ALMIGHTY and be very careful when we say something about them all of them are innocent and best creatures in this world it is better that when our leaders speak something about religion they read it from written paper checked and prepared by Ulema

. .
31% of the world population or you can say 2.2 billion people are Christians and they have fought many war in the name of church and Lord. So I think Christ is mentioned in history many times.

Have not seen what his full statement was can any one post the full video?

If some one says the same for Prophet Muhammad he will be wajib e qatal...Right ?

looks like majority of PDF residents do not know the definition of (and difference between) words like history, mythology, theology, faith, logic, rationality etc. and take pride in their ignorance perhaps believing that if they become stubborn in their misguided notions, somehow they'll magically be vindicated

The Christian religion that we see now is basically the one propagated by Paul who was originally against Hazret-i Isa (PBUH)!!! All the original scriptures from him are destroyed/lost!!! Hence the Bible is full of contradictions!!!

Anyway, the Ehl-i Iman know the deal with the present Christian religion!!! Public debates by the scholars are there to decide for oneself!!! Imran Bey might skip public speeches regarding this and leave it to the scholars for the public debates....

I think factually PM IK migt be right. Jesus has only impact on the scriptural domain. That is strictly the Christian bible and theological works. However Prophet Muhammed PBUH impact spills well beyond the scriptural domain. We had a empire being formed that occupied land, a state that ruled a geography, that fought wars, that conquered etc thus even if you dismiss faith and it's consequences in the case of Prophet Mohammed PBUH nobody can ignore the very real history of Medina and the state that grew from there to go onto conquer and become a empire. Therefore it had real, hard impact on the temporal plane. That is normative history.

Which is not the case of Jesus. Sans the faith there is no footprint on history whatsoever. It's like invisible gravity.

That is true. From a secular historical perspective these is no evidence of the existance of Jesus Christ .

I agree with Imran here..

If someone has time to watch the full video, the context of his talk was about the documentation of the system. Evert aspect of the life of Muhammad (PBUH) has been documented, by the first hand accounts. There is a system of chain of narrations. We have ashtiname preserved with Muhammad (PBUH) hand print.. It has been authenticated by Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We have some first hand accounts of non-Muslims who documented some of the wars...

While he said that there is no mention of Hazrat Isa in History books, it doesn't mean that he was saying the Hazrat Isa (PBUH) didn't exist.. He meant to say (and he cleared this in his talk as well) that the nizaam is not documented. No one even knows how he prayed.

He was wrong about Musa (PBUH) as well by the way when he said that Hazrat Musa (PBUH) system is somehow documented.. no it's not.. No history book tells us that when he was born.. what system of law he implemented, how he used to pray etc etc.. People are still trying to identify him as Thuthmoses I, or Thutmoses II (which I believe both were not Musa (PBUH)..

Again, it doesn't mean that Musa (PBUH) didn't exist, because denying this will take us out of Islam.. We believe that he existed because Quran talks about him.. and Jesus Christ as well.. but can we say that we can implement Musa (PBUH) system? No.. we can't say that..

In Islam, we exactly know when Zakat (which is an advanced system of taxation in a way if properly implemented) becomes obligatory.. what are the specific timings of Prayers.. when to start and end fasting.. we have very slight variations and that's it.. we even have been told how to drink water, how to trim our nails, how to take bath for maximum purity, how to behave with parents, wives, children, neighbors, other Muslims, minorities.. it's all documented.. not in Quran, but first hand accounts called Hadeeth.. And we even have a system to classify hadith..

I don't know why people are criticizing Imran Khan.. There were 100s of ulema sitting in that conference and no one questioned his statement, because they understood that clearly.. yet people like Talat Hussain, Umar Cheema and the likes.. who don't have knowledge of deen and history, are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Sounds more like you dont accept or consider the wrong context in this situation.

I am Christian and yes it has been discussed before, but not intensely or angrily or anything or even frequently. Also, anyone can make any video. Videos dont change people's "realities"/truths with things like religion. We just saw another video here about Islam and its origin. you think thats going to change anything about how Muslims live or see their religion now??? Offcourse not.
