Jesus Christ has no mention in history : PM IMRAN Khan

A pretty significant amount of his life is known, even outside of the hadees. The siyar (which most historians prefer to use) contains plenty of facts about him.

Not all of them, and those that do know next to nothing about them.

Salamu Alaikum

For various reasons, those accounts cannot be trusted.

He never said all of Christianity is a lie, he only said what many historians regard as fact. Jesus (peace be upon him) really doesn't have any reliable historical evidence of his existence.

No it doesn't. We only believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) because the Quran says he was real. The real question becomes you should be asking is why do Muslims believe in the Quran? And the answer varies from person to person, but I find these sources to give some good arguments:

Probably another faker, Christian missionaries do this a lot:

He will be an idiot, because the historical evidence for him is overwhelming.
I believe you are talking abt ibn ishaqs sirat rasul Allah..it got as much reliability as bible or Ramayana...that guy tells so many fairy tales about Mohammed that even Mohammed would have laughed if he had heard them..I can't quote them lest I will be banned...man,I have read everything about Islam that is under the sun..Mohammed's life details are not completely known..the only facts we could know about Mohammed were from Quran..everything outside of it is not at all reliable..they say sirat was written nearly 100 years after Mohammed's death..100 years was a long period of time in a desert...and the first hadees that was compiled was 200 years after Mohammed...I repeat... Very little is known of Mohammed (i am not denying he existed

Blue eye , blond hair Jesus has no mention in History its true ..
we do know a Middle eastern Jew , fair Skin , dark hair called Esa Pbuh .

Actually, Jesus (PBUH) was brown/black somewhere in the middle. African Middle Eastern Arabian brown.

You really can't twist and defend this statement, his statement is about as literal with clear context as it gets.

He (IK) may be correct. Hazrat Isa and Jesus may be two very different people in very different times. Isa (Peace be upon him) of Quran is actually very different from Jesus that we get told about. The earlier did overcome his opponents and the later was a helpless soul crucified on a cross and is expected to descend again. Another interesting thing to note is that during times of Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him) people did have this confusion about how Jesus died.

IK given his nature ........ didn't realise that not everyone is ready to digest this.

but ik used the name of Hazrat Esa A.S in his speech

He is talking about real Hazrat Esa A.S, the Esa of Quran. And in Urdu you would call Jesus, Esa.
real Hazrat Esa A.s has strong history and will arrive in this world before doomsday

What I am, as a Catholic, saying to these PDFers, twitteratis and googly/wiki scholars is that MY belief in Christ is not based on history but faith. I am saying that they should stop finding offense where there is none!
cheers!
Well i agree with this. Cheers b.

Quran's Hazrat Esa is not coming back. So who you consider the real one or not, is entirely your own finding, for the time being we two cannot agree.

According to Holy Quran every thing will face death one day and according to Holy Quran Hazrat Esa A.S was not killed and never died and will come back in this world again to taste death like other humans

I said we two cannot agree on this. In my initial post here I had mentioned that "interestingly people during time of Messenger Muhammad Peace be upon him, were confused about death of Esa A.S" ....... sadly and unfortunately Quran's reference to that has been misinterpreted by Muslims (who don't dare challenge Tafseer written centuries ago) to Esa's coming back. Esa A.S of Quran wasn't a helpless poor soul, that belief that he was helpless, is contrary to Quran's 61:14.

I'm not bright enough to understand what you just said to me. What I am, as a Catholic, saying to these PDFers, twitteratis and googly/wiki scholars is that MY belief in Christ is not based on history but faith. I am saying that they should stop finding offense where there is none!

cheers!
well said

PMs-Remarks-About-Christ.jpg

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday draw the ire of hundreds of social media users, including political leaders, after a video clip of his controversial statement regarding Hazrat Esa (AS) [Jesus Christ] went viral over the internet.

“Moses got some mention, but Jesus Christ has no mention in history,” he said while addressing the opening ceremony of the two-day International Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Conference in Islamabad.

Ever since the clip of the premier’s address was shared over social media, a number of netizens took to Twitter and criticised him for what they said was PM Khan’s “ignorance”

Among the many who condemned the remarks, was Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former minister Ahsan Iqbal.

“Quran has many references of Hazrat Isa (AS); how will trolls defend this crazy statement of IK?” he tweeted.

Ahsan Iqbal@betterpakistan

Quran has many references of Hazrat Isa (as) will trolls defend this crazy statement of IK?

It merits a mention here that the two-day conference titled, ‘Finality of Prophethood and responsibilities of Muslims in light of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’, is the 43rd conference aimed at promoting religious harmony, tolerance, brotherhood and equality, respect for humanity, non-violence, unity, reconciliation and culture of dialogue.

Actually majority of reader fail to understand Quranic verse and man written history is two different approach... it good for wise person to listen, sit back analyze and speak ...I give him benefit of doubt and move on ...

I think factually PM IK migt be right. Jesus has only impact on the scriptural domain. That is strictly the Christian bible and theological works. However Prophet Muhammed PBUH impact spills well beyond the scriptural domain. We had a empire being formed that occupied land, a state that ruled a geography, that fought wars, that conquered etc thus even if you dismiss faith and it's consequences in the case of Prophet Mohammed PBUH nobody can ignore the very real history of Medina and the state that grew from there to go onto conquer and become a empire. Therefore it had real, hard impact on the temporal plane. That is normative history.

Which is not the case of Jesus. Sans the faith there is no footprint on history whatsoever. It's like invisible gravity.
Maybe he was talking about some other ancient prophet whose reference r only found in Abraham religions but not in recorded history
