All poor countries are poor due to the same reasons Egypt is poor and all rich countries are rich due to the same reasons USA and UK are rich.
In Pakistan, like all other poor countries, narrow political elite is controlling the system through corrupt bureaucracy and in return they organised the society for thier benefit. Bureaucratic and institutional corruption is in favour of this elite so they don't support any idea of transparency in the system. Thats how this country has been turned into an ideal place for corruption. When bureaucracy and institutions are corrupt it is easy for narrow elite to suck national wealth and transfer it into own capital.
There is system and good laws in rich countries and no one can dare to exploit natural resources and public in rich countries. Question is why there is relatively transparent system in rich countries and exploitation is not possible while in poor countries political elite organised society for thier own benefits?
The answers is evident in historical facts.
Instead of going into more details how citizen of rich countries realised tyranny of thier elite and decided to change everything belonging to exploitation, I will simply argue that in Pakistan it is the awareness and resolve of public to get independence from political elite can stimulate change. Less they will fool us the way history repeats.
In third world countries political elites are organising society for thier own benefits. They accumulate wealth in a systematic way. Who can change is the important question. Take example of rich countries, once they were also poor and were controlled by few elites. Citizens of these countries overthrew the elite and now they are able to elect people of their own choice.
case study of egypt proves that egypt is poor precisely because it has been ruled by narrow elite that have organised society for thier own benefit at the expense of vast mass of people. Political power is narrowly concentrated and has been used to create great wealth for those who possess it, such as the $70 billion fortune apparently accumulated by Mubrak. The looser have been Egyptian people. Same are the reasons for poverty of our country. Countries like Great Britain and united states became rich because thier citizens overthrew the elite who controlled the political power
And in Pakistan Judiciary is protecting all evils in the society.
