Japanese activists land on the Senkakus amid Chinese protests and threats

You misunderstood. It is widely known the Dalai Lama is the CIA's most senior operative (since the 1950s).

I was making the point that the Dalai Lama is also inadvertently useful to the Chinese government.

"As is well documented elsewhere on this site, the Dalai Lama was on the CIA payroll from 1959 until at least 1974. He was provided with $180,000 per year as ..."

As I said before he's not following the government's orders or wishes. And how is he useful for the Chinese when the Chinese keep calling on nations to stop allowing him to visit other countries. Inadvertently...right.

Dalai Lama costs Indian companies billions of dollars in lost Chinese sales

You can't really be that naive. It's a milder version of "you're with us or you're against us." The U.S. does it all the time.

China remembers its friends when it doles out large contracts or sets government policies. Since the Indians insist on annoying China, Indian pharmaceutical companies have zero chance of selling their goods in China. See how it works? The Dalai Lama costs the Indians billions of dollars in lost sales annually.

The Indians keep hosting the Dalai Lama and China keeps locking out a multitude of Indian companies. You do things to annoy us and we do things to annoy you. Sounds pretty fair to me.

We don't need Chinese trade. Go and issue these fake threats to that lazy Europe and US. It is Chinese firms that are begging for Indian market.

I'm just stating a fact. No need to get upset. Hosting the Dalia Lama is not cost-free.

Playing anti-Chinese politics always carry a cost, usually billions of dollars in forgone exports to China.

You say India doesn't need Chinese trade. I'm happy to agree with you and look forward to seeing Indian pharmaceutical companies locked out of China indefinitely. You see, we both agree!

Japan has more investors in China than China and its technologies way a head of China indeed. Even now, Japan Navy's still number 1 in Asia. I am right?

Moreover, Japan earned respect for most the countries, ever since China does not and Japan will get more supports than China.

China will alone and lonely for its trouble makers ...... !!!

LMAO you vietnamese are such pathetic that like to hide under other's shadow and take opportunity to stir up the trouble that is not even concern you...no wonder you guys got owned by China for millenium, just don't forget who ultimately your master? your future and destiny are all depend on China: Speak with lousy mouth then "red river" or Sông Hồng will not have enough of water to fix your thirsty throat.

It is so funny to see how the Japanese humiliate China again. Now they can understand how we feel.

Humiliate? China just don't want to be caught into American trap...Fight Japan...is just lose-lose...and Americans can declare winner without fire a signle shot...why we just want to please them this way??? Japan will never able to swallow this island tomorrow nor next millenium...we will deal with Japan when time is just right for us....you vietnamese just like to play Kid fighting game...you will never understand mature strategist master art of war.

time is on our side. be patient.
after 20 years we will be more stronger to break the balance.
do not let die USA benefit form the current Island crisis. after all the USA is our future enemy No.1/

we should deal with philipine first.

Indeed Time is on our side, we are winner as long as we can hold our econmical momentum and current trent, eventually we will replace USA as they replaced England...Americans know that we're playing their games...so they're trying to stir up Japan against us...the mutual destruction will make American's day.

Without the support from US, today's China will blow Japan out of water.

China has its own multidimensional system warfare, and we will use the flexiblity of our second artillery and PLAAF to incorporate with our PLAN in a simultaneous strike against their fixed military targets such as the harbors and the airports, meanwhile also against the moving targets such as the warships.

If you believe that we are going to fight the JMSDF with the outdated one on one battleship duel model, then you have no clue about the concept of the modern system warfare. :coffee:

I hope and I wish to believe you but due the fact what the information for both country Navy Power, it seems that Japan has more advances, and experiences than China for sure.

Japan, Germany, Israel, Korea (both) are not a country for China to mess with. That's a fact !!!

The modern warfare is relying on the multidimensional incorporative attacks, while Japan has only the historical WWII naval experience, while they have none against China in the modern one.

Without US, we can mess with anyone. Now even with US, we can still play the chessboard, because our economy keeps going strongly, while US keeps bleeding. With the current trend, we will see who will have the last smile in the next decade. :coffee:

Japan can produce world class military products if they chose to. They certainly have the infastructure and knowhow. But like Gemany they are lax on their defence needs due to the US umbrella.

When push comes to shove they too will start paying as much attention to their military needs as China does.

Example: If China needs 10 years for deploying new fleets and Japan only needs 4 years due to:

1. Japan has money and very strong economic.

2. Japan has technologies.

Combine 2 for 1 that China only has number 1 [money] but will lack of the technologies for comparison with Japan.

Nope, Japan has no advantage in the military industry complex.

For example, their Atago DDG is just an Arleigh Burke DDG with the watered-down version of Aegis. They rely on US for the Aegis radar/launching systems/ship propulsion.

While China's Type 052C is 100% indigenous, only the first two ships have the Ukrainian ship propulsion, but after China has solved the problems of its indigenous ship propulsion, now the Type 052C is being built as quick as the hot cakes, also we just start to build the more advanced Type 052D.

The Type 052C/D DDGs can easily outnumber the Kongo/Atago DDGs in sheer number, the only advantage of the Atago DDG is having more units of the VLS, while this is absolutely useless when you have an inferior PESA radar compared to the superior AESA radar of the Type 052C/D, which can have much greater flexibility to track down more flying targets.

Japan is clearly inferior to China in military technologies

Not true. Japan can't build its own jet engine. They licensed it from the United States.

Also, Japan begged the U.S. to buy the F-22. The U.S. said "no."

In contrast, China is testing two J-20 Mighty Dragon stealth fighter prototypes. China has been building its own indigenous WS-10A jet engines since 2005. China is miles ahead of Japan in military technology.

As ChineseTiger1986 has mentioned, Japan can't build its own Aegis system. Only China has a comparable Type 052C Lanzhou/Aegis class system.

Also, all Japanese submarines are diesel-electric. China has Type 093 Shang-class nuclear attack submarines (SSNs) and Type 094 Jin-class nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs). China is light years ahead of Japan in nuclear submarine technology.

One final thing, Japan is bankrupt with debt-to-GDP at 200% (see second citation below). They have to think long and hard before deciding whether they can afford to build a patrol boat. It might bust the Japanese budget.
