Japan is like tiny Israel. China and Russia drawf it in every sense, I can see why they want to have some defensive capability not dependent on the US (who recently has become more of a Chinese ally).

.
Background is just that, background. Sorry for any wrong Japanese did during their occupation, but that is past. Neither China nor the Japan are the same. We need to take it from here. If Japanese feel threatened by China, which many countries now do, then it has a right to defend itself.

the past was not ended and the japanese are relishing and reviving their imperialism

It gets easy when you alienate all your neighbors.

alienate? we are fine on economic and diplomatic terms with a vast majority of asian countries!

I want to see Romania to try to teach a nuclear armed country a lesson before Japan attempts it. :omghaha:

I understand what you mean ,you mean when you are nervous before a match you ask for some trial hits to build your confidence.you must have seen that before pping pong matches.

"Threatened countries" = Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, India, South Korea. Four of them have territorial disputes with China, and the Philippines claims have no legal standing. Its "sabre rattling" when China makes any moves, but if any of those countries send any military forces to seize the disputed areas its perfectlly okay.

Doesn't give a damn- all of the rest of asia.

but weather you give a damn or not it dosnt matter as your actions dsnt reflect what you talk.

Well, ally is not our national policy, neither is India's. Only small ASEAN countries would huddle together to engage in international affairs. Actually, inside ASEAN, each country has its own plan, that's why no country support Philippines's illegal claim. China has understood this for long, rather than inside conflicts, we would rather depend on ourselves.

@gambit @flamer84 @SwatCat

If the Philippines wants to face a two front war with China and the Moros then it continue with its stupid provocations (such as claiming they discovered the Spratly islands terra nullis when the Republic of China already garrisoned the). Japan is invited to support the Philippines if they want to get smashed like they did during World War 2 in Mindanao by the Moros.

HISTORICAL AND "HUMAN WRONG" OF PHILIPPINE COLONIALISM: HOW NOT TO RESPECT HISTORIC-HUMAN RIGHTS OF BANGSAMORO AND CHINA? - MNLF Official Website

The MNLF has not disarmed at all and can break the ceasefire any time they choose. The Moros also remember the crimes the Japanese committed in Mindanao during their invasion. One of the Moro resistance leaders, Datu Gumbay Piang was of Chinese descent.

Nothing wrong in asserting your claim,but China needs to balance its foreign policy.

It all comes down to being free they will come together.orelse risk runover by you guys.give anothe 10 -15 yrs the japan can be strong enough to counter you.

Seriously?? Only if Japan could recover from the lost 20 years... It will be very very lucky for Japan, with both population and economy negatively growth, to defend its own land. How can you imagine a recession nation to expand aggressively? Impossible. Look at EU.
