Japan to have first aircraft carriers since World War II

.
But didn't you said that Japan will conquer their neighbor to find slaves? LOL. Vietnam is a juicy target for their slavery mission. Why? Simply because it is not profitable for a Slaver to fight a big country like China. Even if they get new slaves, it will costly for them. But Vietnam, it is different matter. You have been inside their TPP enslavement trap, and you trust them. So, it is easier to attack and enslave your country than to enslave China. Getting new Slaves are economic matter, not ideological, nor pride. So why would they sacrifice their Lucky Number Aircraft Carriers to get "new merchandise"? When at the same time there is an alternative that readily to be harvested :D

This trolling banter has become old and pointless, let's us stop here :)
Nonsense. Japan is traditionally Vietnam’s ally.we both are very similar in the way how we see the world. VN doesn’t need Tpp. It is just one of stepping stones to get Vietnam developed.

Let's give him the benefit of a doubt buddy. Or maybe you are Nihonjin huh @hirobo2 ? o_O

Lol. It took u guys this long to figure out? I knew from day1 this Suika guy is Nihonjin. The reason I didn't report him coz I have him on my ignore list, plus its rather amusing reading the replies to his outrageous posts which obviously I cannot read since he's ignored.

No doubt. Anyways it's not important. Ppl come here coz they love to read up on China, even the most notorious China haters like JHungary. So the more readers we have the merrier...

First of all, I am not a China Hater, I hate Chinese government, that's very different.

Second of all, I am more Chinese than you.

So.…….

Actually, US Military had already allowed such things to happen in Japan.

Notice that Japan is buying 42 F-35B, when they plan to put 10 on each DDH (JS Izumo and JS Kaga), which mean they will have 22 left, and since there are no other DDH that can convert to take F-35B, which mean they are building a new ship for it, either they are building another 2 DDH similar to Izumo class, or they are building a single ship to host the remaining 22, which would be a ship similar to US Wasp Class

The 22DDH should easily be able to handle 20 F-35Bs alongside 2 SAR helicopters. Or 10 F-35Bs alongside 12 helicopters.

Since one of these ships will be in refit, it will be possible to induct 1 more ship and operate the full complement of 42 F-35Bs.

With a mix of 10 F-35s and helicopters each, they can actually operate 5 ships, with 2 scheduled for refit and upgrade at any one time.

Depends on their complement.

Izumo can technically overflow to 20 F-35B but then they won't have enough hanger space to store all 20,which mean some of which are going to be on deck if they do. And That mean yes, they can do that, but that's mostly transitional.

Not sure if they will have 5 ship build, that probably too much for the requirement

Assuming 75% of the fleet is available, that will allow at least 30 operational F-35s. With 10 available for each ship, they can have 2 ships with a mix of 35s and helis, the remaining 10 used as training and reserves. Still a pretty healthy mix.

That's going to cost a lot of money to maintain, and probably better off building a new class which host half of them and use them when the two Izumo dock.

Or If they really want to do that, I don't think JMSDF would stop at 42 F-35, they will have more.

The Izumo class has a massive well deck while the Flight 0 of the America class has no well deck. But in terms of size, the Izumo class is much bigger than the America class, so it has a much larger internal volume. If they decide to remove the well deck on a third Izumo class, the ship will be able to handle more aircraft than the Flight 0 America class.

Honestly, they need a real carrier.

Possible look of said "carrier:"

Do you have a source for 10 F-35Bs on each of the carriers?

If you look at the size of the ship, then 18-20 is easily achievable, along with 6-8 helicopters. Remember F-35B is quite a small plane when compared to larger carrier aircraft like SU-33, even taking into account it's wings do not fold.

I think that the 42 F-35Bs are just for the two carriers they have now.
