We have requsite infrastructure for Semi High speed railway, but they have yet not been tested.

More important is the tripling of NDLS CNB MGS PNBE/HWH section, this will alone make sure increase in a averege speed of a large number of trains in north India.
Personally this Gatiman express can wait.

Since 1993, twenty three PHA-20 type 2,000 hp (1,491 kW) diesel-electric locomotives have rolled out of the factory.[5] The project to 3,000 hp (2,237 kW) AGE-30 diesel-electric locomotives is nearly completed.[5] Apart from manufacturing new locomotives, the Pakistan Locomotive Factory has rehabilitated five diesel-electric locomotives of GRU-20 Type and manufactured spares/components for railway maintenance divisions and rehabilitation projects.

Hey,again for your kind information, population of India is about 6.5 Times more than Pakistan, but India has at present near 11,000 operational locomotives compared to around 150 of PR.

It means more than 50 times your fleet.

And 50 is still bigger than 6.5.

Just for your info,here in India we manufacture every year twice the number of locomotives your Pakistan railways has operational at any given time.

Do not explain him anything. He has got a disease called butt hurt. His illness become worse if he read this sort of news. He is simply applying some ointment to his lava like burning A**. He is trying to take some relief so looking at his illness, he has a right to medicate his A**. Let him do that. This epidemic is wide spread on PDF.
 
Thats what the Ahmedabad - Vadodara - Surat - Thane - Mumbai corridor is already seeing in large numbers. It is a solid choice for the first HSR in India.

actually it is.
as i said business travellers who commute frequently need an alternate to airlines.
so on relatively short distances if time of travel on end to end basis is same for air and railways travel with fare being attractive, HST becomes attractive option.
However the idea is to have all year round high occupancy to have a steady stream of revenue going.
