Before 1947, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were all one country, while Xinjiang and Tibet only became de facto part of China in the 50s.

Even if Pakistan or Bangladesh wanted to unite with us, we wouldn't accept them for numerous reasons.

Xinjiang and Tibet were considered parts of ROC, whereas ROC was the successor of Qing Dynasty just like USSR was to Tzarist Russia.

With PRC replaced ROC in 1949, neither ROC or PRC has considered Xinjiang or Tibet as an independent nation.

Their recognization of ROC as their central government had definitely been faded, but always submissive during the prime era of the Qing Dynasty.

I really don't care who controls Tibet or Xinjiang. By point was that Indian intervention in those regions would be akin to what China is doing at present to India.

The Japanese government is rapidly moving away from US dominance and asserting its independence in regional politics. This will inevitably mean a more assertive role in Asian politics.

So now we will have four countries wanting to be top dog: China, Russia, Japan and India. Although Russia may turn its focus more westward and leave Asia to the others.

Something good to start with would be Tsingtao beer.

There are plenty of great Chinese wines too, although in Hong Kong we import a lot of Whiskey and Vodka from overseas as well.
