Japan faces 'extinction' in 1,000 years

I will always extend a helping hand(maybe the whole body ;) ) if Japan ever needs one.

LMAO:rofl:

BTW,if the one child policy isn't removed China too will be extinct even before the Japanese:china:

idiotic saudis: china adheres to no moral rule and follows no religious scripture. we are flexible with population policy, like human societies naturally are. and we adapt our policies to national security imperatives. you saudis need to do the same, lest your nation's destruction should happen soon and entail the destruction of your race.

It's the Japanese predicting this themselves. They have low birth rates, they live forever, they don't marry as often as other countries do, they tend to have less kids, suicide also plays in here.

Japan may as well go extinct after a thousand years.

Though, what happens before these thousand years we don't know.

It's time for them to allow Pakistani and Indian immigrants into the country before it's too late.

And watch the crime rate rise dramatically and poverty rise?

Allow western Europeans in/East Asians in.

Boost incentives for those having more then 1 child

The crime rates will increase more if Europeans and East Asians were to come in, if you didn't already know, Pakistanis abroad commit less crimes than Germans/East Asians abroad.

And for the record, there are about 10,000 Pakistanis and about as many Turks already in Japan.

Such predictions are made in a vacuum. In the real World when Nations growth rate falls below two, the governments offer incentives to the general population to have kids ( Cash awards ) and if all else fails there is always Immigration which can ease the negative growth rates.

36% of Japanese males between the age of 16-19 report themselves as "uninterested in sex".

1/4 of Japanese women above the age of 30 live as singles and have no intention to marry.

You think it's that easy?

Japan is only the tip of the iceberg of growing grey populations in the OECD countries in Europe & Japan. And China is fast becoming an aged population even before it's a truly developed OECD nation due to its one-child policy.

It represents an opportunity for emerging nations with young demographics. Pakistan has the world’s sixth largest population, seventh largest diaspora and the ninth largest labor force. With rapidly declining fertility and aging populations in the industrialized world, Pakistan's growing talent pool is likely to play a much bigger role to satisfy global demand for workers in the 21st century and contribute to the well-being of Pakistan as well as other parts of the world.

So many stupid posts in this thread.

Instead of making assumptions, take what the article says for face value.

The whole point of the report released is that they are trying to bring attention to the fact that Japans fertility rate is below replacement, and if it doesn't, at current rates, the population would be extinct in 1000 years. They have used the 1000 year fact as a headline grabber to bring attention to the fertility rate.

Obviously it will go back up. The report is saying that if it doesn't go back up, at current rates the population would be extinct in 100 years.

All you need is the current fertility rate and a few simple mathematical equations. It's not that hard.

If the current fertility rate stays the same, it will take 1000 years for the Japanese population to fully decline. Yes.

Hardly. People are thinking it is foolish because you don't understand the purpose of it.
This is the stupid post brother . These extreme cases will never turn out to be true .50 years is enough for a countrys population to grow at exponential rate . Ex India,China,Bangladesh....

Good theory, except the fact that China's median age of 37 is still far lower than that of Western Europe, Japan and the US which are almost all 40+.
