well unlike some others, IAF has the fuel to fly!!

You have to aircraft to crash.

and those aircraft should be those who have paid for.

Freebies crashing is no big deal!

So when are you giving a party to us PDF members to celebrate these air crashes???

Looks like you are proud of the achievement. Party is a must Sir.

I seriously wonder if the families of those poor pilots agree with your pathetic logic.

Sad news once again RIP to the pilot.

and now in next line, PAF has no jets!!!!!

:what::what::what:

and you are military professional???

Thats 1000th aircraft crash from 1970......

now am depressed.:frown:

losing aircraft is one thing , but losing a qualified pilot is something else.
mig-21/27and jaguars needs to be replaced ASAP.

999 was an evil number... so stop depressing.

Lol- going by that rationale- you should crash a few more planes of yours- since you have paid for it

and how about paying a little but more to fit a fcukin ejection seat?- So that a life can be saved?-

Rang dey Basanti is just a movie?- is it?

from 1970 to 2011- a total of 1000 crashes-
that means 24 crashes every year-
which means 2 crashes every month-
since the month of august is full now-
i forecast 2 more crashes in September
Good Luck-

Thanks for the weather forecast ! It is raining airplanes in India ! Like in Pakistan it rains drones. So how many drone strikes you forecast in september ?? You can help prevent some civillian deaths !

Very sad even after all those overhauls and upgrades (not all are upgraded yet) if this thing is happening IAF should speedup and order increase MRCAs to replace along side mig-21s some jaguars and mig-27s.

The 25 year service extension after the upgrades is ridiculous these are good enough for 2020 after that they should exit even the Turkish Air Force is going to retire some of the fleet of their F-16s by 2020.

IAF pilot, girl killed in Jaguar crash in UP
August 4, 2011

Close on the heels of the MIG-21 crash at Bikaner, in Rajasthan, a Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district, about 325 kilometers from here, on Thursday, killing the pilot and a girl, working in the fields.

The aircraft, which had taken off from the Gorakhpur airbase, about 100 kilometers from the site, crashed into a paddy field in Ferozpur Dhilai village and burst into flames, according to officials here. The wreckage of the plane was scattered in a radius of about 300 meters, eye witness accounts said.

An 18-year old girl, identified as Ruma Sahani, was reportedly killed after being hit by the flying debris of the aircraft, villagers said adding that the aircraft had hit a tree before crashing into the wet field. Some live stock were also killed in the mishap, they further added.

According to the villagers, there could have been a major tragedy if the plane had crashed into the Maryadpur village, situated barely 100 meters from the site.

Senior IAF officials reached the crash-site within hours and took the body of the pilot to Gorakhpur in a chopper, officials said.

It is the second crash, involving a fighter aircraft of the IAF, within a period of 48-hours. On Tuesday last, a MIG-21 fighter had crashed in Bikaner, killing the pilot.

Jaguar fighter aircraft crashes; pilot, girl killed

A single-seater Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed here this afternoon, killing its pilot and a girl working in an agricultural field, the second IAF plane to meet with an accident this week.

The deep penetration strike aircraft, which had taken off from Gorakhpur airbase at 12.10 pm, crashed in the field in Dilahi Firozpur village, about 50 kms from the district headquarters, DIG Azamgarh L Ravi kumar said.

It burst into flames killing a 18-year-old-girl identified as Ruma on the spot, he said, adding that two other women working in the field were also injured in the mishap.

The name of the pilot has not been disclosed yet, the DIG said. An IAF team had reached the mishap spot and had taken away the pilot's body, he said.

On Tuesday, a MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed while landing at Naal airfield in Rajasthan's Bikaner district, killing the pilot.

On February 4, a MiG-21 'Bison' fighter plane had crashed apparently due to an engine problem while on a routine sortie in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district but the pilot had ejected safely.

In 2010, a total of 10 IAF aircraft crashes took place including four MiG-27 and two MiG-21 planes.

Defence Minister A K Antony had said in Lok Sabha on Monday that 24 fighter aircraft accidents have taken place in the last three years, in which four service personnel and five civilians lost their lives.

Of these accidents, 23 per cent were due to human error, according to him.

Not sad. Part of life.

It is a vast frontier and so a large number of aircraft flies.

The weather pattern is also not the same.

The statistics of more aircraft in the air vs the probability of crashes increases.

Burkina Faso has the best statistics. Never a crash.

They have no airplanes!

it hurts me to say this but i think we are the AF that leads every other AF in most crashes ^__^

:what::what::what:

and you are military professional???

Check your history from the time you joined the US bandwagon.

Both for economic and military aspect.

Pakistan has had a head start.

Being educated in no way hampers one to be a military professional, or does it?:woot::azn:
