'I've been raped 30 times and it's not even lunchtime'

Was when slavery was normal and nowhere does it say rape them....It clearly says

You said when slavery was normal, and Quran does talk about Slave girls in the verse you quoted. Since slavery is not normal now it must mean either this verse needs some revision or Slavery is still normal.
There are some laws in the Quran that were for that time...It is clearly distinguished because Arabic is a language which actually puts a temporal context to a sentence! So we have verses for when slavery was normal....

As for the latter part of your post....

We also have verses which says give the slave their rights (when you give a slave any rights...they are no longer slaves...why? Coz slaves dont have a single right)

And the verse which you quoted...Did you understand it? THAT was the verse which was telling what I just said...giving the slave rights....in fact a nikkah and haq mahr - rights of a wife!

Instead of saying down right no slaves allowed...we have many verses where slaves are given rights...and many verses where it asks the man to ponder on the signs....now if you cant add 2 and 2 something is def wrong with you (you in general not aiming at anyone)!

Thanks! :)

Slavery was never right. It was a common practice but not right. And a perfect religion should have opposed it from the vary beginning, not make rules around it.
Just means no religion is perfect!

No....

By forcing it down right would have been injustice to one who has no knowledge and has been practicing slavery for centuries....He WOULD view Islam as oppressing his culture!

Islam never said it is right...Nor did it make laws AROUND IT...it made laws to help it end!

How? By giving rights to slaves (once that was done the word slave didnt exist...there is no such thing as a slave with rights).....1st man on the planet to give athaan was a slave by birth! Freed by a prophet and stood on the Kabbah (the black stone we go around during Hajj)....

How? By raising the awareness of equality ...marrying a slave showed how much equality was allowed...even in 18th century no one could dream of marrying their slave in the West!

How? Once faith entered the hearts and people were willing to do good for the sake of ALLAH ....people were more anxious to free a slave and get rewarded than to keep one!

Nope, when today entire organizations are not changed overnight and people pay millions for change consultants who do the EXACT gradual change that Islam did.. you might say that is brilliant.. but here because its a demonized religion.. we have a bandwagon of people finding whatever they can at fault.
Borrowing this to add it to my post! :p:

We have a similar verse stating that a warner/ prophet/ msgr is sent to every nation (usually such a nation is at a decline or doing "mischief" on earth)

OK it happend in sindh and punjab as well.

Bandha Singh bahadur, a Sikh guru, whose son was killed and his sons heart was pushed into the throat of the guru when it was still beating...great invaders from west did that happy.

That's what Isis is doing now.. No difference

Isis flag was displayed in Kashmir and kanyakumari...

It is moment of time.. These people will brainwash some of the vulnerable youth in India and may be a bigger problem..

banda Bahadur was not a sikh guru . He was Commander of Sikh army after the death of last living Sikh guru.

although moves of ISIS is similar to the ones what happened to sikhs of his era

where had these problems gone while protesting against Israel?
Well such protests never took place in large numbers in Pakistan...we had protests against bokoharam...and such problems were not as worse back when gaza was being bombarded like shit as they are now....

and they may also be a fear of a backlash from ISIS if Pakistan protests...we already are at war with some so we cant add more burden for our jawan!

Whoever he/she is and in whatever form, Earth needs him/her now. I mean now!! May be in the form of Destruction!!
I can second that!

And this is what creating the current problems, isn't it? Not telling people that this things are downright wrong and you should keep away from them. People were not told keeping a slave is wrong, but freeing a slave is good thing. Two have a big difference.

A religion, no matter which, is based on certain mindset of certain period. Unless it can evolve with time and changing moralities, it is wrong. And if it can be changed/inferred differently with time, it is imperfect.

sirjee dharma isn't religion... and lord krishna isn't talking abt religion ....
religion is a concept which is been made by humans to understand/perform the various concepts/rituals for betterment
In Hinduism, dharma signifies
behaviors that are considered to be
in accord with rta , the order that
makes life and universe possible,
and includes duties,
rights, laws, conduct, virtues and
‘‘right way of living’’. dharma means "cosmic
law and order",

By creating a conducive society, by establishing Zakat & Usher system to help poor, and by gradually elevating the moral standards of its followers. Please remember the Khutba Hajjat ul Wida... Rasool Allah (PBUH) said many thing and among them was final cancellation of Riba' (interest -based dealings). Rasool Allah (PBUH) took no less than 10 years to finally stop all interest -based dealings.

Depends. From my point of view a religion should declare what is right and what is wrong straightaway. But that's just me.
