I have just been reading update on Tejas which suggest that MK2 Tejas is not likely to fly until 2022/2023.
I have also read an article DRDO re refusing to upscale production of MK1 beyond 4-6 PLANES per year until IAF commit to a bigger order than 40 planes
Inaddition I have IAF will not commit to more MK1 planes.
Guys THIS PROJECT IS A JOKE and we NEED to kill this today.
CLOSE DOWN DRDO because we are wasting valuable resources. rupees.
1. WE NEED TO RETHINK INDIAN AMBITIONS OF BUILDING OUR OWN FIGHTERS
2. WE NEED A NEW PLAN TO REMODERNISE THE IAF with cheap lightweight fifth gen fighters.
3. WE NEED A STOP GAP FGHTER UNTIL POINT 2 ABOVE BECOME REALITY
PS its not all doom and gloom
We have a massive GDP OVER $2.2 TRILLION AND VERY LARGE FINANCIAL MUSCLE
We have options to use tech partnership from USA Sweden israel or Europe NOT just Russia
WE JUST NEED TO START AGAIN and be realistic...
tejas has failed full stop move on
