Italians over 80 'will be left to die' as country overwhelmed by coronavirus

I don't know bird flu and Asian flu, need to check, but 1918 Spanish flu was from US, Check it out.

Ok fine. Maybe China not responsible for 1918 flu. No one really knows where it came from. Experts think it was China but there is no proof. It was detected in WW1 soldiers and then spread. But Asian flue(1957) and Hong Kong Flu(1968) were both from China. They still killed 4-5 million people totally.

1) Sars
3) Bird Flu
4) Asian Flu(1957) - killed 3 million
5) Hong Kong Flu (1968) Killed 2 million
.
They all came from Hong kong, that's why we northerners hate Guangdong and Guangxi province eating habit, most Chinese never eat strange food, but some far southerners do. We almost criticize them for that.

Now, China passed law that all wild life trading and consumptions are banned, we are so happy for this law, now Guangdong and Guangxi people have to eat like the rest of China.

WHO PHEIC declarations:
A Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) is a formal declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) of "an extraordinary event which is determined to constitute a public health risk to other States through the international spread of disease and to potentially require a coordinated international response", formulated when a situation arises that is "serious, sudden, unusual or unexpected", which "carries implications for public health beyond the affected state's national border" and "may require immediate international action". Under the 2005 International Health Regulations (IHR), states have a legal duty to respond promptly to a PHEIC.

Since 2009 there have been six PHEIC declarations
:

2009 H1N1 (or swine flu) pandemic
2014 polio declaration
2014 outbreak of Ebola in Western Africa
2015–16 Zika virus epidemic
2018–20 Kivu Ebola epidemic
2019–20 coronavirus outbreak
The much bigger problem here is Chinas legal wildlife farming industry which is cause of numerous pandemics.
Not only does this industry cause pandemics it also causes extinction of endagered animals, so much risk for making profit...

China banned it once after SARS epidemic too and legalized it again, lets hope its a permanent ban this time.

No, that's a temporary ban, but this time is a total ban and being written in the Chinese laws. if there'll be a country that totally bans any forms of wild life trades on this planet, the country will be China, don't underestimate the enforcement ability of the Chinese government.

Plenty of countries have laws agains trading wildlife animals and its being enforced in a lot a lot of them, China is actually one of the rare countries where you can just walk into a public market and buy exotic aimals and their body parts.
Im sure China can make and enforce such a law indeed, it just didnt so far, in contrary, it even subsidized the industry.

Your worthless govt could have done it right after SARS. It didn't. Don't give me that crap that it started in HK, SARS was traced back to China....HK just had the first official cases because its not a tianenmen-tank govt kind of place.

Your worthless govt could have released the (clear from start) specific contagious ability of this virus instead of repressing 34 year old doctors and others like him for 2 whole weeks. It didn't.

95% of the cases worldwide could have been prevented by many estimates going now if China simply was open and honest from the start instead of data-suppression "everything is fine" mode.

So understand this, you spend all this time in this forum with the same 20 other ppl trying to convince them on this and that.

But the message about what china actually is (esp its govt) in reality check way is reaching millions of people across the world for last few weeks and weeks, months and years to come. It will affect massive levers of economic policy and any sustained social interaction and "soft power" now too. You will learn this lesson the hard way because of your own stupidity. Enjoy.

My advice. Give up everything. But indulge in sex. Drink, smoking merely reduce your sex drive. Meaning as a youth you to have fun. Not blunt it with smoking, drink, drugs.

I never smoked, never took drugs, never indulged in too much food. But give open licence to the beast.

It should be renamed as The KRAKEN!!!

Spanish flu also China is the prime suspect :china:

Historian Mark Humphries of Canada's Memorial University of Newfoundland says that newly unearthed records confirm that one of the side stories of the war—the mobilization of 96,000 Chinese laborers to work behind the British and French lines on World War I's Western Front—may have been the source of the pandemic.
Historian Christopher Langford has shown that China suffered a lower mortality rate from the Spanish flu than other nations did, suggesting some immunity was at large in the population because of earlier exposure to the virus.

In the new report, Humphries finds archival evidence that a respiratory illness that struck northern China in November 1917 was identified a year later by Chinese health officials as identical to the Spanish flu.

Please do not feel we are attacking Chinese culture here but the safety of our species Homo Sapiens needs to come before any sensitivities here.

The outbreak in the US was not caused by any know "risky" behaviour but this has happened before in China and so these "wet markets" should have been permanently closed long time ago.

China is helping Iraq, Iran and Italy and that is to be commended.

Let us all work together to get through this and then we can move forward from this having permanently banned these "wet markets" all over the world.

I think Coronavirus came from a laboratory not Chinese food. Possibly a laboratory run by either white people or Jews.

Whatever the cause of this latest outbreak, "wet-markets" with "exotic" animals need to be banned like the use of chemical weapons have been.

All countries need to sign a UN treaty against this, as just imagine a new one with the infectiousness of Covid-19 with the devastating "kill-rate" of Ebola turns up next - it would wipe out at least half of humanity!

LOl, our worthless government is much better than Indian government, please deny it.

Spanish flu was from US and being brought to Europe. if you can only resort to conspiracy theory, then this coronavirus must be from US, cause hundreds of studies showed so.

Not according to historians, China is the prime suspect.

Where did the Spanish flu really originate?
For many years, medical historians and epidemiologists hypothesized that the outbreak could have started at a British army base in Étaples, France, or at Fort Riley in Kansas, where the first American cases of this new strain of flu were recorded in March of 1918.

More recently, experts have proposed a third hypothesis: The Spanish flu originated somewhere in northern China in late 1917 and swiftly moved to western Europe with the 140,000 Chinese laborers the French and British governments recruited to perform manual labor to free up troops for wartime duty.

Historian? inculding foreign historians? haha, US was the origin of Spanish flu is consensus in the world.

Christopher Langford is a renowned academic from The London School of Economics.
Read his paper in which he says “The most plausible explanation is the Spanish Flu originated in China”

I have given you three sources and you have provided a YouTube video with no conclusion.
