I find that hard to believe. What kind of air-craft refueling truck could Israel build that China or the US couldn't provide better.

Cost and technology. You can't compare an aircraft refueling truck with a fuel bowser!! They're miles apart! Here's what it looks like....

I think the Pakistani public opinion is so strongly against any sort of relationship that these deals will remain small, quet and very inoffensive not to mention Israel knows what side its bread is buttered and won't want to annoy India too much especially when India has so much to offer in terms of sales and ideological similarities.


Also didn't I read this deal was done through Turkey so not even a direct govt-govt deal.

The leading Israeli manufacturer of tankers, aircraft refuelers, fire fighting trucks, armored vehicles and special purpose trailers, Hatehof Ltd., reportedly provides Pakistan's Air Force with military equipment under a clandestine contract.


Nearly a month ago, 11 aircraft refueling trucks departed Hatehof's plant in the Tzippori industrial zone in Galilee region, situated 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) northwest of Nazareth, for the Port of Ashdod, located about 40 kilometers (24 miles) south of Tel Aviv, in the dead of the night.

The trucks were later boarded on a cargo ship in the Ashdod Port and dispatched to Turkey from where they were transported to Pakistan, according to a recent report aired on Israel's Channel 2 television network.

The report comes as the Israeli firm has sent several convoys of aircraft refueling trucks to Pakistan in order to equip the Muslim states' Air Force.

Under an agreement reached between Hatehof Ltd. and BMC -- one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in Turkey, truck chassis are sent to Israel to be converted into aircraft refueling trucks for Pakistan's Air Force.

Israel is a Jewish state and meant only for Jews. the Children of God. its Ideology is purely religion. nothing similar there with India.

Won't these trucks be stationed close to the aircraft they are meant to fuel?
Can't they have any transmitter that could jeopardize the location of Pakistani Aircraft?
Is there a way to ascertain that these trucks are free of bugs that could pinpoint their location?

Am I being too simplistic?

I would consider answers only from Pakistani members of forum to be of any credibility on this matter.

Actually, I have been to Israel and Israel is a surprisingly pluralistic AND secular country Muslim and Arab children attend the same schools and are given the same treatment (at least what I saw in Jerusalem and I have no reason to believe differently).

And yes Pakistan is offered sub-sytems and limited tech but not the real cutting-edge tech India is offered (ie Predators, P-8,F-35,AESA, Iron Dome, Phalcon, PAK-FA etc etc) this is indisputable- these guys are willing to get money out of Pakistan (after all it's only business as you pointed out) but not commit to capbility building or offer too much.

I guess I am one of those 1, 2 stupid persons in Pakistan who believes in a relationship with Israel.

Can you explain why Pakistan can not have relationship with Israel when the countries who have direct conflict with Israel have relationships with them. Palestinians, Egyptians, Jordanians all have relationships with them why can't we have one.
