ISPR Responds to IAF Drama today

I think you guys should now put your money where your mouth is and risk your reputation, like the IAF has done, and provide a rebuttal from no less than the PAF Chief himself.

Ask your PAF Chief to hold a press conference saying no F-16s were lost.

Unless this happens, all your words are just noise in the wind.
The PAF air chief does not take personal potshots or cheap comments like the IAF air chief has recently (it surprised me as I respect IAF for some of the pilots I met) . All F-16s are accounted for and the supposed Shahazuddin does not exist at all, and the new supposed dead Viper Driver (Wing Commander Shahbaz) is currently at Maxwell AFB at Montgomery, Alabama.

Until then it is going to be a media game.

Our ispr is more credible than you i
IAF chief ... they kept on lying on balakot and exposed by western media .. i can personally confirm Pakistani version on balakot as my friend is from same area ...
ISPR should consult with air force media office first. They did have a mixup unless it was intentional.

How long do Indians get to control this narrative of F-16? They're just trying to buy time until their bumhole has healed a little bit. Why is everyone falling for illegitimate questions? It's easy for IAF to prove F-16 is shot down:

Have Abhinandan testify or do an interview.

Has Modi claimed F-16 kill?
Has any pilot besides Abhinandan been given credit for kill by anyone?

Need to be asking about SU-30 while Indian bum is still on fire!

Why hasn't India denied any SU-30 was shot down?
Why isn't there any IAF pilot celebrating F-16 kill?
Where is the commendation for F-16 slayer?

What’s the point? Even if he holds a press conference you people won’t believe it.

Plus I don’t think Pak senior Military officers have a habit / insecurities as the counter part does. DG ISPR just likes to rip Indians a new one time to time :)

Noise is what we have been hearing since 27th feb. No, not noise but irritated, painful, whinny screeches.

So which daycare did your IAF get that AWACS drawing from? Bright kids for their age!

Exactly! Major respect for Abhinandan the man sticks to his word and is not becoming a tool used by Modi. These Indians are just shaming him by claiming he shot down F-16. How would Abhinandan feel if everyone he meets tells him "good job ef sola giraya sir!" Can you imagine he is reminded of that day everywhere he goes? I feel bad for him.

I read on this forum or some other forum all officers and Jawan who handled him like him and wish to see him again in Pak but legal way. He seems to be solid professional soldier with respect for other professionals I also wish see him back.

ISLAMABAD: Rejecting India’s latest reiteration of its claim that it downed a Pakistani fighter jet in February, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor on Monday said that false claims do not turn into truths no matter how many times they are repeated.

He said that India only made false claims and could not present to the world any proof to support those claims.

Repetitions don’t make truth of a lie. Despite claiming possession of evidence on shooting F16, IAF still short of presenting it. Don’t overlook Pakistan’s silence for not drum beating losses on Indian side. Fact is that PAF shot down two IAF jets, wreckage seen on ground by all.

The director general of ISPR, the public affairs wing of the military, was responding to a news conference held by the Indian air chief earlier in the day in New Delhi, where Air Vice Marshal R.G.K Kapoor presented “irrefutable evidence” that they had downed a Pakistani fighter jet in February.

The ISPR director general in a statement said that Pakistan was tightlipped over the damage caused to India in February’s clash at the hands of Pakistani forces.

“Do not overlook our silence. We did not beat drums over the truth. The truth is this, Pakistan Air Force downed two Indian Jets,” the ISPR chief said, adding “everyone saw the wreckage [of the Indian jets]”, Maj Gen Ghafoor said.

ISPR chief says lies do not become truths by way of repetitions

It is worth mentioning that the US-based Foreign Policy magazine has also rejected the Indian claim of shooting down a Pakistani F-16.

“India’s claim that one of its fighter pilots shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet in an aerial battle between the two nuclear powers in February appears to be wrong,” read a report recently posted on the magazine’s website.

Following the Foreign Policy’s revelation, Prime Minister Imran Khan also rebukedthe Indian leadership over its false claim of shooting down an F-16.

“The truth always prevails and is always the best policy,” the prime minister tweeted.

Pakistan believes that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to win the elections through war hysteria and false claims of shooting down a Pakistani jet.

However, ignoring Pakistan’s rejection of the Indian claim as well as the American magazine’s report, the Indian Air Force on Monday made yet another claim, but could not produce any solid evidence to support its point.

According to AFP, India’s air force presented on Monday what it called “irrefutable evidence” that it had downed a Pakistan fighter jet in February during a dogfight over the skies in the disputed region of Kashmir.

India lost a Mig-21 Bison in the aerial skirmish and its pilot was captured by Pakistan and later returned, cooling one of the most serious military confrontations between the two countries in decades.

But India has since claimed that its pilot first fired on an F-16, sending the damaged jet crashing into Azad Kashmir — something Islamabad says never happened.

AVM Kapoor repeated this at the press conference in Delhi, reading out the “evidence” gathered by India and displaying radar images he claimed proved the Pakistan jet was struck and crashed.

“There is no doubt that two aircraft went down in the aerial engagement on 27 February 2019,” Kapoor said, reading from a prepared statement.

India’s air force “has irrefutable evidence of not only the fact that F-16 was used” on the day of the dogfight, but that it was shot down by the Indian jet, he added.

He claimed that further “credible information and evidence” backed this version of events but could not be released due to confidentiality concerns.

Foreign Policy magazine cited two unnamed senior US defence officials who said that US personnel recently conducted a count of Pakistan’s F-16s and found none missing.

The magazine quoted one of the officials as saying that Pakistan had invited the US to physically count its F-16 fleet.

The dogfight happened after Indian aircraft carried out an airstrike on what it alleged was a “terrorist training camp” in Pakistan.

That in turn was in response to a suicide bombing on February 14 in India-held Kashmir that killed 40 Indian troops and which was claimed by a militant group based in Pakistan.

Doubt has also been cast over the success of India’s airstrike, which Amit Shah, president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claimed killed 250.

Pakistan denied that there was any damage or casualties.Independent reporting by multiple local and international outlets who visited the site also found no evidence of a terrorist training camp or of any infrastructure damage.

Pakistan said it shot down two Indian planes and lost none of its own, but India said that it lost only one aircraft.

The PAF air chief does not take personal potshots or cheap comments like the IAF air chief has recently (it surprised me as I respect IAF for some of the pilots I met) .

That's a very poor argument. When a kill is made, it's obvious that it will be publicised. Plus the IAF Chief commented on a lot of things, not just the F-16. Now that you have been challenged from our highest military office, you are going to have to respond in kind anyway.

And there's no need for the PAF Chief to comment on any personal comments, one can keep a press conference entirely business-like. Maybe the PAF Chief can give a pointer to the IAF Chief on how press conferences are given. ;)

Even our vice chief has given two press conferences, one to explain what happened and another with proof of what happened. So why this deathly silence from the PAF?

All F-16s are accounted for and the supposed Shahazuddin does not exist at all,

Pointing at that name was a media creation. Someone picked up that name from the Internet and printed it. And, when it comes to the media, once one person does it, the mob follows. GoI or IAF did not release any name. All they have said is they have a name, but won't be releasing it.

What’s the point? Even if he holds a press conference you people won’t believe it.

It's not about we believing it or not, it's about having a press conference.

The IAF's press conferences are aimed at the Indian public and international audience, not at Pakistan.

At least the Pakistani public should hear the "truth", whatever version that is, from the PAF's own mouth.

A kill is made when a a plane goes off Indian radars???

A kill is made when an IAF pilot says "Selecting R73"???

A kill is made when IAF pilots have a lock on???

So much professionalism from INdian Airforce and than how can we forget the crying for "rafales".

A kill is made when a a plane goes off Indian radars???
Based on this very info most professional air forces may list the kill at most as 'probable' but definitely not confirmed. They will most likely wait until more evidence becomes available to change the status to confirmed

International media is backing us so we have nothing to proof.. Its India who has to come forward every second day and keep denying. Tsk Tsk Tsk your air top officials have been reduced to this, defending their narrative in front of gullible Indians like u every now and than while both Pakistani side and international media keep thrashing your claims. It's really fun now.

Lmao as expected, experts around the world has again started thrashing India. Let it continue, Indian standing as credible and professional armed forces has been put to rest by themselves. Really enjoying it. From Balakot lies to this, every Indian claim has been out rightly rejected. Poor losers, thought they can teach Pakistan a lesson thru surgical strike now been a target of surgical strike itself by international media.

It took 7 mins using "Paint" a massively difficult software and here is the result and a much better and logical than what our Indian counterparts have made in 2 months. Anyone can make such diagrams this is no way a "IRREFUTABLE" evidence.
