Pakistan and India have made war against each other at least four times and yet they have diplomatic relations - don't they? Even after a heinous terrorist attack, they maintained diplomatic relations, they have even a nuclear relationship and have exchanged where each others nuclear sites are

I agree with all your points- I don't think I've said anything that would contradict any of them. However I would say that in all your examples relationships have had to be forged/saved out of necessity - neither India nor Israel can afford to have no dialogue/ties with its immediate neighbors. I don't know whether anyone would describe ties between Israel and Pakistan being essential or a necessity.


Anyway, at the most basic level there are NO diplomatic relations between Israel and Pakistan- this needs to be addressed before anything else surely? I mean this is the most basic and rudimentary relations any two nations can have and Pakistan and Israel don't have them- says it all really. Let's all just keep out feet firmly on the ground and keep to reality.

US has been pressing PK to recognise the state of Israel but for their own reasons. if PK recognises Israel it will 'ease' some of the negative sentiment prevailing in the international community. PK can recognise Israel and at the same time stand up for the rights of the palestinian people as Egypt and Jordan do.....why do we have to 'tow' the line of KSA and Iran. we are an independent country and should make decisions which are in our interest.
