Most people who come to Twitter belong from one ideology or the other. When some come straight on your face some come with masks.

Social media is an open ground and intention was to make it such where people will come and have boxing.

I’m sure many of them and us are very different in our personal lives.

.
I would agree and the reason is the mask internet provides. You are completely anonymous, free from criticism and the seals the Norms of society place upon a person . nobody knows who you are so the crop releases their inner self. The true personality. The one they hide. Often this reveals abuse and lies and deception and words and views that shocks you to the core.

Would ever hear a person advocating rape in real life on a respectable gathering of society yet on the internet its is heard far too often? You literally hear views of genocide that nobody would utter in real life. The mask of internet reveals the true self.

In my view, I personally belief your truest personality is not revealed in a society but in isolation. The chains of society keep a person in line but what he is truly like or what he truly believes in is revealed when the chains break and they break when a person is in extreme anger or in isolation and alone and internet provides that anonymous loneliness.

If laws were not there how many would fall into immorality and depravity. A very good number. Its the same thing here.

As for arrogant. Internet has provided a voice to every tom dick and Harry and they speak as if masters in matters yet are ignorant. They carry this arrogance. Kids who have done nothing speak on matters asnif they have spent a life time studying it. They become representatives of people amounting to millions and even billions. This is height of arrogance. I would agree.

@Joe Shearer @hellfire @Nilgiri @Taygibay @WAJsal

I would like to hear from the above as well.

Its sudden dissonance from what humans have been communicating for 1000's and 10s of 1000's of years even. We rely on so many non-verbal cues etc, and these are simply not available in the internet generally. This is similar to why we experience road rage etc, we do not get access to the many visual cues and body language that would otherwise diffuse a situation. The chains are of course offered much more broadness in the web and often not even the final climax that road rage unleashes is ever realised too (sustaining a more long term unhealthy "edgy" behaviour).

With many people they then go down this pit of hell interaction wise in internet, it gives them a rush that they lack elsewhere putting down others or self-aggrandisement with fantasy etc....because there is no real face to face mitigation that exists in real life that stops it cold over there.

This is kind of open ended set, I don't know where the bounds are tbh and where its taking us. Maybe its best I dont care about it...it just stresses me thinking about it.

The internet is just a tiny fragment of what a person is really like. If you know the person personally on snapchat even IF they do - technically you shouldn’t accumulate all your judgement based on a snap because you know them at their truest essence and understand they may be swearing at a situation or just venting. As long as it’s not common practice it’s all good and if you don’t like their tone then don’t have them. It’s simple.

Secondly, I understand it’s not appropriate for a female to be foul but I find it so very ironic how a person picks up on that but won’t look at the dynamics or situation that pushed a person to that extent. Instead of always relaying on to girls, maybe we should also focus on how Men speak to women. What will make them good fathers? Brothers? Protectors? Guardians?

Whilst I agree over the internet some people can easily ignore, some can be expressive, certain individuals already undergo that process and have not been confronted or tasted their own medicine and at times are schooled. That doesn’t necessarily imply thats them in reality or they’re arrogant. For all you know their public image is probably set like that deliberately for various reasons. For their protection and to ward off nuisance.

In reality for all we know they could be genuinely humble, down to earth, kind and polite.

I’m no one to judge, and I still believe in ‘do not judge’ because no one really knows anyone. Unless they’ve been unreasonable with you in an unjustified manner then yes, that’s classed as bullying and rude. But if they’re not and you see them like that with another individual then situation is accounted for and tolerance levels are different. Respect can’t be demanded but is earned.

I disagree with raising generations with moral, values and ethics based on internet clauses. These are personal and just because they’re not always imposed on the internet doesn’t mean the person in reality lacks them. The only way to really find out is by actually knowing them. Challenges cannot be determined - parenthood itself changes a person.

Lastly - not everyone deserves a privilege or right to know you.

internet social media should not allow abusive langnuage and block such words in any language then this behaviour can be corrected and controlled

.
Oh bugger off you old toadies. Always blaming the younger generation for behaviours they have inherited from you folks. Or do you think that abusive language did not exist before the dawn of internet or that you folks in your younger days did not use similar language?

We learnt our moral and ethical values from our elders, you know the generations before us who started two world wars, who carried out mass genocides and told us to hate each other due differences in nationalities, religion and beliefs. Was it the young'uns who you'll blame for this?

We have inherited this messed up world from the generations before, who's favourite pastime it is now to sit and judge and commiserate on how "tough" it was for you folks. Yeah I know exactly how tough it was, where a lower educated person working in a factory could afford their own house, family and a child or two. What have you left us with? People like me and the ones I know working in professional careers still can't afford houses.

You screwed over the world, and have used every opportunity you have gotten to screw over the younger generation. Brexit votes comes to mind, amongst many others.

I am sorry if I don't take the sentiments expressed in the O.P and the subsequent posts too seriously. Find someone else to vent out your frustrations on. Young people like me see the world for what it is, and who it is ruled by still. The old toadies who have led us to where we are today. And you still wonder why some young'uns don't have respect for you?

And why relegate this to the internet? Isn't arrogance and rude behaviour a generic human problem? It's actually funny this topic came up and I was reading it on the way back from work and a funny incident happened. While getting on a crowded train, I felt like some idiot pushing and shoving me from behind while I was taking care not to hit the lady in front. I turn out ready to blow and what do I see? A man in his bloody 60s, burying his head in my back and trying to drill in to the Atlantic ocean for oil. No regard whatsoever for who's infront, or who's behind. Just me, me and me. Typical baby boomers. Then while this carrion is drilling for oil behind me, this other, and yes another "older" gentleman decides it is prudent to push everyone out of his way just so he can get to a seat before anyone else. And when I say what the hell are you doing, he ignores me completely.

LoL, forgive me. Respect is earned. I respect elders in my family because of their behaviour. But most oldies I meet elsewhere will not get my respect simply for having a few grey hairs.

Rant over.

Well said ... my vote is No and that is due to other reasons including what you've also posted above.

A famous man said that "Do not force your children to behave like you, for surely they have been created for a time which is different to your time". Younger generation is bitter and the rebellion is leading to an increased use of foul language on the available platforms away from eyes and ears of their elders. Of course there is outside of family influence as well but internet is where they let it all out uncensored.

There are plenty of examples of many muslims turning atheist/agnostic/liberal/secular/hardliners because of the hypocrisy, bigotry and stubbornness etc in elders.

There is more but have a headache right now.
