Is Pakistan the only true Islamic State?

. . . .
Pakistan is not what it was made for. Pakistan was to be a modern country for not only Muslims but everyone living in it.

why people get so apologetic when someone call Pakistan a Islamic state, Do Indian apologize for their failed secular justice system? Why if Laws are not implemented justly in a Islamic state becomes a cause of shame but when same done with secular laws it becomes a pride. Pakistan was made for Muslims of India so ideally its suppose to have Islamic laws, yes these Islamic laws give equal justice and protection to all not just muslims.

ISIS.. and taliban govt earlier were true islamic states... you got awful lot of british laws.
What do you know about Islam? Hm? I dont get it why are so many non-muslims entering the discussion when they dont know anything about islam.
Who are you to decide taliban govt is the true islamic state? What knowledge about islamic shariah and fiqh do you have?

. .
Interesting. After all all people of BD and PK has Hindu ancestry but very few accept that and that too in public.
Who doesn't? All of our ancestors were non muslims at one point. There, i said it.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you believe in a fairy tale idolized version of sahabas. Whenever anyone will try to suggest something you will probably jump and compare it to the "golden" age and say oh that leader is nothing compared to sahaba, oh the people are nothing compared to them.

If you bring hadith, make sure you read Bukhari and Muslim's actual books. You probably came across hadith in related topics instead of reading through them without any relevance to any topic. This will give you a good insight into the actual life during prophets time.

I've read my fair share of Islamiyat texts whether Bukhari or Muslim. But rather than just read one of them and say I know everything now I do cross examine them with other Hadith and note them in the historical context.

You think life during Ali's time was just? I am sure you get starry eyed imagining it. Well sorry to inform you, but the muslims of that time didn't think it was just, but you probably know better. Muslims revolted against Ali, including many sahabas and even prophets wife Ayesha. During Ali's time Usman's wife's fingers were being displayed in Syria and the killers were not brought to justice. There were wars between muslims.

Read about Uthman's downfall. It wasn't about his spiritual beliefs, but power hunger. We're talking about a Caliph that disbanded the entire Muslim Army, but then threatened the Byzantine Empire that if a Muslim woman was not release he would send an army that stretched from Constantinople to Medina. Whether this is false or just common story-telling.

Muslims have always been ready to shed blood to gain power, wealth, or both. And have had no qualms to side with non-Muslims in this matter. Not that there's anything wrong, power is something everyone wants.

Stop holding the ummah to unrealistic standards. If you have to go back in history at least have some knowledge instead of fairy tales. I do believe the people during Prophets time were the best of muslims as even Prophet said that this generation is the best, and then the next and then the next. But they were not as they are made out to be. They had their shortcomings, their weaknesses, they made mistakes.

Lets go back just 2 generations. To our grandparents. They slept in houses with their doors unlocked. Walked without any fear of their security at night. A poor farmer's child could get a scholarship to a university if he/she had the grades. Took care of one another. There was honor back then. These people had morals they were bound to.

After Prophet came from Taif, wounded and very sad (his wife and uncle had recently passed away), hardest time in his life. He wanted to enter Mecca but he was afraid that he did not have tribal protection anymore and he would be killed. He was unable to get any tribal protection from anyone. It was a non muslim in the end who took responsibility and offered him his tribes protection due to arab chivalry and then the prophet entered.

As the saying goes, Half knowledge is a dangerous thing. I think it properly applies to you.

We all have our flaws. Some minor compared to others.

The Sahaba had a prophet amongst them, we do not. Allah, the exalted, knows that and He will surely compensate our massive shortcomings. So don't mock renaming Pakistan an Islamic Republic just because we are not good muslims. Everything starts with a small step. Pessimists with half knowledge like you will be our downfall.

What is the small step? If you speak out against an unpaar molvi who has no knowledge other than reading 1 biography of the Prophet, and is now handing out Fatwas saying Pakistani soldiers fighting TTP are not Martyrs, you're officially on a hit list.

You want to have Islamic Republic title then act like an Islamic Republic. How many people spoken out against, threatened, physically hurt, the Prophet. Now tell me how many people the Prophet killed in retaliation?

If a woman has a mental handicap and says wild accusations against the Prophet you decided to lynch her?

Then a man kills a governor for speaking out against this ridiculously written Blasphemy Law hes showered with flowers. It doesn't take a role-model Muslim educated from Al Azhar University to point out what is wrong.

All you need is a moral compass.
