As per the Census of 1941, 71% of Kashmir was Muslim. There might have been forced expulsions but they don't significantly change the demographics.

Well it's 99% Muslim today. Imagine if all Muslims were expelled from India today then only 15% will be affected. What's more if you take 1947 numbers India had only 8% Muslim after partition. But in kashmir 28% were impacted . Isn't this bigger?

One would expect a much junior member to open a thread like this. Many innovative and extraordinary things about Pakistan and the world, can be learnt on PDF. With your knowledge, one would expect much better posting standard.

Majoritarianism is not good. This is precisely the discourse in the world. How many people in this forum agree to various restrictions that we have heard recently in Europe regs hijab and other things? If majority wins then partition of India would never have happened because majority Hindus never wanted it.
You cannot impose will on others just as Kashmiris are claiming that India is doing.
Can you tell that to Indian Muslims that they should act according to 80% Hindu majority wishes??

No what I meant was .... From your numbers 28% of Hindus have vanished from Kashmir . So this proportion is double the proportion of all Muslims in India and imagine if all the Muslims were chased off to Pakistan. Just want to give you a sense of the proportion.

Depends on the situation. Right of choosing a country and religion are two different things...States had to choose between India and Pakistan. The Maharaja wanted to keep the minorities in India and that started problems...

Some Indians say Maharaja signed so Kashmir must be for India. I say then what happened to Junagarh and Hyderabad.

Others say there should be majority as most princely states joined India and Pakistan based on this. I say then why were the Kashmiri people ignored?

Yes , so in that respect India has done a great job in protecting minoritiea and in fact giving up a lot of the benefits of majoritarianism. Hindutva is a danger to it but by history Indians democracy will take care of it. Even Europe may not be as liberal as India for minorities.
